I'm hearing a lot of chatter saying this will be Mack -whether that's just people off the back of screamscape or something else who knows!

After riding Helix, I pray that this is a Mack. They'd have so much room for a mass amount of elements and variety to the layout, plus, those trains are lush! ;-)

Construction already started that's the thing

If there is any construction right now, I'm sure it's probably just land clearing and no vertical construction.

Even though a Mack or Intamin would be a nice addition, based on the statistics we've been given, I'm pretty sure it is going to be a B&M, which I don't have a problem with.

Lol no. Land clearing takes a while and they probably still need to file permits and such.

B&M's don't take long to install and they almost never have technical issues. Look at Thunderbird, B&M's first launch and there were no delays on its opening at all.

^there's not much land to clear back there but I'm guessing some footers will go in the pond where I always spot a gator hanging out while I ride kraken

Did I miss something? I am under the impression that Sea World isnt really spending any money this year.

I hold stock in Sea World and I would like to think that if they were building a new coaster that they would have taken a big hit on capex in the quarterly report or announce that they expect capex spending to increase in subsequent quarters.

I noticed they used the word "Frenzy" twice in the release, and it seems rather deliberate. Maybe it will be called Frenzy and be Shark themed or something.

I hope it doesn't have a splashdown, or if it does, it will have it in an interactive location.

I don't see the park needing another splash down effect

^^Yeah, I feel that Diamondback's splashdown is a little pointless since it is so isolated; it needs to interact with the crowd in order to be effective, like with a dive coaster

Diamondback's splashdown is hardly isolated, it's clearly visible from the queue and from multiple angles on the midway. I'll agree that the new coaster doesn't need a splashdown, though.

^I meant that it's not nearly as interactive as say Griffon or Sheikra. Either way I haven't watched POV's of any of the coasters with splashdowns so I'm just going off of memory.

Personally I'm hoping for Mack here. Seeing how they are currently going up in the industry with their mega coasters, it could be that they have taken an opportunity with SeaWorld here. SeaWorld already has some experience with Mack coasters in San Diego and from how successful their current mega coasters are, something like this isn't out of the question. Especially since I'm hearing all good stories from the new hypers like in Nigloland. :)

They also have 2 B&M coasters. Your argument is invalid.

That Mack at Nigloland is just like a Megalite, except generally a bit slower paced and more drawn out in slopes and transitions. Trains look comfortable and the last turn is probably more exciting, but IMO it's not nearly worth going with Mack over Intamin for a similar product. To me, Mack looks like they copied the layout without completely understanding the little details that make the Intamin layout and trackwork so good. In doing so they've created what I'm sure is an excellent little coaster, but yet not close to the experience quality of the Intamin. I haven't ridden either, to be fair, but there's lots you can learn from some pictures and POVs.

Maybe they'll be putting a lot of theming into it like they did with Manta.

A year build is reasonable for a 201' roller coaster. Remember vertical construction is only a portion of any coaster project.
