Technically speaking it does NOT exist in terms of being a force, it is not a real force. However, as a concept it exists. A less confusing way of explaining it is the lack of centripretal force, not a force itself.

Seriously though that comment made me unable to sleep properly. It's just.... So wrong on both a scientific and egoistic level.

Etymology does help us know such confusing terms.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder why things are called x when they are not x, so looking up the etymology REALLY helps.

I remember last June when Cedar Point closed due to the water main break, there were a few comments on the park's Facebook page asking if Soak City was still open. You really think they can open a waterpark if they don't have a water supply?

According to these Facebook comments, Fury 325 getting stopped on the lift hill immediately makes it unsafe. :x

-3 strikes you're out. Time to shut Carowinds down for maintenance and inspection.
-at least they weren't stuck upside down.
-I think Carowinds had better recheck all their rides...this is happening too often...and summer hasn't come yet when the droves of people visit the park,
-Carowinds safety has went down after the state stopped doing inspections. Its like they don't care now.
-Mine was another one. The harness come open when going around on the flip of the coaster.
-Another disaster waiting to happen....sad
-It sounds like Carowinds installed this ride, along with other rides, that were not accurately assessed for its safety.
-Here is the thing everyone saying it was a sensor no big deal and every ride won't always be on point. Here is the issue its brand new it should not have break downs or issues in its first month the of operation no matter how minor
-It's why I never go on coasters.
-Just call it death ride 2015...

Why do the GP think all corporate parks are run by evil James Bond villians. Even if they were it makes no business sense to let people die on rides.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

My answer to the clich??: "Rollercoasters should be banned! People die on them."

Go ahead ban rollercoasters and while your at it why don't you ban cars because they kill people too. Why don't you just ban eating so you can't choke?

Also one time I was at SFNE and we were walking past the slingshot and someone said "That ride is dangerous! The cables might snap and you could be flung off!"

They seriously sent in a helicopter because Fury 325 was stopped on the transfer track?

It says 8 new attractions but that's not true. 3 of them are refurbished old rides, and 1 is the same old ride but with a new showing. I don't care if they're new during this particular park owner phase, they operated in the past and were still there last year but SBNO, therefore they're not "new". So it's actually 4 new rides plus a new movie. Was Son of Beast a "new" ride when it reopened without its loop after being SBNO? Do you get a new car every time you wash it or get a tune up? I have no problem with a current ride returning to operation. Just when they call it a "new" ride. If they do that with T3, Rapids, and Enterprise, why didn't they say "~40 new rides" when they reopened in 2014?
I kinda feel like advertising a new movie in the thrill park theater as a new ride is like altering the ride program of an existing flat ride and advertising it as "new."
Or since Zippers are different every single ride cycle, every time you or someone rides it, why not call it new?

Also, any of the countless articles that claim they were shut down for 5 years. Nope. More like close to 4.5.

More dumb Facebook comments about Fury 325 getting stuck on the lift hill.

-They will end up doing away with that ride before the end of the season
-One huge expensive dangerous mistake. Somebody's going to get killed.
-3 times in one week?? WHY is it still open?? Close the ride and maybe attempt ti fix it for once.
-People stop making excuses for this ride! Hellooooooooooo! Shut this B---- down and work the KINKS out. The first Family that loses a family member to this ride will shut it down for them. Hell the kinks should be gone by now????????????
-What its gonna take someone getting hurt or dieing? Close it down! New or not
-People are ignorant to keep getting back on it!
-What if they got stuck upside down...then what? They need to shut it down until they fix this problem that keeps occurring. Not safe at all.
-Some day its going to fly off the track and kill everyone on it
-im so serious...if I hear ONE MORE TIME that Fury 325 got stuck AGAIN...im going to have someone drive me to carowinds and Im going to go to whowever runs carowinds and or the stupid ride and say "ya'll need to get this ride working. aint nobody gonna ride it no more if it keeps stopping" Get that sh** under control!!!

Why, humanity?!

Good luck with that on this particular ride. Gotta wonder if Facebook has some kind of apparatus that forces the computer of whoever logs onto it to release some kind of intelligence-lowering gas that makes them dumber than normal.

The internet inherently gives everyone a voice and thus allows large amounts stupidity to be heard and people with intelligence hardly go round stating the obvious (ie. just randomly stating that a ride doesn't go upside down so it'd never get stuck that way)!

Even though Airtime>Inversions every time.

Seriously. Look at any POV of a hyper or giga, and in the comments you'll see several comments where the GP whines about the ride not having any "loop de loops".

^WOW, if they had done even the most cursory research they'd find that B&M's operational record is flawless. The only times someone has gotten hurt on a B&M is due to rider error (chewing gum) or non-riders trespassing. Obviously the station is just interested in sensationalizing for ratings.
