I usually work with wooden coasters, and let Wood Magic support me up. Consequently my steel skills are lacking, particularly the area of supports, so I'm building a series of shuttles to have some small footprint coasters I can drop into parks and get a feel for building supports. I've never created supports for steel, and I'm looking for feedback so I can get better. This one looks a bit under supported to me. Despite . I want it done right, but, despite all appearances it is not an Arrow, so it doesn't have to be prototypical.

Just copy real life. I know you're basing this on that weird Pax ride, just try and do something similar.

Actually, I hadn't seen that Pax coaster before. I'll give it a look.

It's called Cobra and it is at Connyland in Switzerland.

That's like finding a Waffle House with no white trash in it.

Suggestion, you should make your beams a bit thicker. Looks good other than that.
It's been a long time

This is actually only one half of the "coaster". The other half is an identical shuttle with the train launching backwards at the same time. It's positioned forward and to the side so the riders can the see the other train. The backwards train launches under the corkscrew of the forward track then corkscrews over top the of the forward track.

Holy crap, that is similar.

It seems to be supported in similar places as what I have. It was actually more similar before I changed the supports this morning. I had the supports more closely resembling Cobra this morning.

Okay, I'll look into that.
