Worlds of Adventure - Bye Boomerang!

Well, I think time for this to have its own thread has arrived. Yeah, Hraesvelgr is supposed to be in a park. Name and logo aren't final (and I'm open to suggestions) While I'll start revealing more detailed info next week (as I'm working on graphics and that kind of stuff, I can share some bits of information.

Worlds:

- Steampunk themed mainstreet. At the end, you'll get to a building supposed to be a time travel center. The beginning of tour trip around the worlds.

- Steampunk Mayan: Project Chaos. You may have seen it on the forums. Centerpiece of the park with its volcano.

- Mayan: located at the side of the previous one, and sharing theming (kind of). There will be a cool story joining both. Intamin mega that duels with the african zone coaster.

- Africa: RMC coaster. Both coasters are based on a RCT3 ride (I can't remember which one), but it was a pretty cool concept.

- Spain: middle age. Coaster is Babieca, whose track will be redone, but layout will be the same. Expect a much higher quality. Will be the next area to be worked once Hraesvelgr is finished.

- Scandinavia: not a lot to say about this one, as it's been showed. Optimization, fixing and detailing left.

- China: Launched B&M coaster, featuring a tunnel on the drop. Or maybe a flying coaster, not sure yet.

Obviously, this won't be finished tomorrow, as it's a very big project. Not sure how far I'll go, as there is a lot of things and lag could hit hard. Right now, I'm able to run it at almost constant fps, and optimization hasn't started. So, as for now, Babieca zone is happening.

Some more things: TallonD83 made an amazing logo for Hraesvelgr. I've asked him to make some modifications, but here it is:

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It's one of the first times I tried to make something better than just a POV.

Next revision will come soon, with more detail and a lot more optimization! I'd say in two weeks, as I have to finish some things for GerstlCrazy first.

TallonD83 has started working on the car textures, and the trains are looking amazing (Even if they aren't finished yet!)





And well, here is the list of things to do for the next revision:

- Reworked station (fixing all the problems it has)
- Bump mapping
- Replace some of the rocks with alpha fencing
- Making the queue lines for every ride
- Reworked Boomerang
- Make LODs for my scenery

So, this next update should fix most of the problems that have been stated

Replace the boomerang with a Premier Skyloop thing! Lol. Hraesvelgr is awesome...why did people's numerical rates disappear?? It sounds like you're aware of the functional issues with the station (i.e. transfer track needing to pass through a wall) which would be my only criticisms.

I absolutely love the whole idea of this project! It is also great to see Tallon working with you on the cartextures, they are simply amazing!

Lastly if you ever need any help with anything (3ds, tracks, feedback, etc.) I wouldn't mind helping out a little. I think this project has a ton of potential!

Well, Boomerang will be replaced, but it won't be a Skyloop... More details later this week Yeah, I'm aware of those, will be fixed. Thanks!

Well, 6FlagsManiac (NLE) will be helping with some things, but any help is appreciated. Right now I have everything I need for this park area, but feedback would be cool!

Well, the Vekoma Boomerang was scraped! Say hi to Gerstlauer lol. I'm a bit lost with this style tbh. Thankfully I'll be riding one on wednesday (TNT at Parque de Atracciones. Will post a trip review:). Keep in mind that this is very wip! Think of it like an artwork. Please comment and rate!

this project is awesome its number one In my book atleast

Good job teaching the imaginary peeps in the NL2 park how the real world works.
If I was working on a park and I did something like that don't be surprised to see a B&M hyper/Intamin strata removal in favor of future park expansion. That would really teach them.
