Smiler has exactly 26 cross sections (vs. 58 for Taron), that makes 52 passes (vs. 116)..! :o

This is probably going to be the best ride of 2016, and nothing else has been announced yet!

Once again, even more reason to visit Germany next year, a fully themed Karnan, this and a rumoured Europa Park attraction. So much hype for this coaster it's unreal. When you look at aerial photos the area isn't actually that big so this crossover record is a real puzzler. :P

I am kinda betting the crossover count is sorta meaningless. A ride like WDW Space Mountain has a gazillion crossovers, but due to vertical seperation you'd never really know it.

^ I have seen someone on YouTube commenting like "Space Mountain is Factory Mountain". I laughed pretty hard while I found it really educational! By far the wittest answer there! :D

I like that the sign also mentions: Most intense catapult launch. I doubt it's going to top Dodonpa with it's 0-172km/u in 1,6 sec. Since the ride goes aprox. 100km/u as a top speed/launch speed. The launch needs to be at least under a second to break that.

The way I understood it it was probably meant to mean "world's most intense LSM launch", so some hydraulic / air compressed launches will be stronger but this will be the strongest that uses magnets.

I wonder what the current "most intense LSM launch" is then. There are plenty of LSM launches out there all with various intensity's. But none of them really sticks out on what I can recall.

Hmm, this is just me guessing from observations from onride videos of some coasters I've watched on Youtube  but maybe one of the Gerstlauer launched coasters? Anubis @ Plopsaland and Fluch von Novgorod @ Hansa Park look like they have pretty intense launches.

I've always wondering if Dodonpa could honestly operate in America. It looks so badly designed (yes I know americans made it).

Hypersonic operated in America. Launch wasn't as intense and oddly the tophat was probably smoother but it was an earlier design so there may be other aspects that are outdated in relation to Dodonpa.

Still it's just the liability issues from some idiot leaning forwards or something. Dragster has dislocated shoulders before when some idiot put their hands up and they launch it at the wrong time.

^That's possible? I know on pointbuzz there was this huge debate over whether TTD's launch could dislocate your shoulders if you put your hands up, and why the pre recorded message is there

^ Yea. I've spent many hours during rain/downtime in the TTD stations. The employees tell you stories man, lots of them.

Really? Because at every other themepark that I've been too they tell you the old "technical difficulties" spiel.

Jokes aside, they do have a lot of interesting information while you're waiting out a breakdown; For instance, while waiting for KK to be repaired I learned precisely how big Zumanjaro's impact was on Kingda Ka's lines and capacity/efficiency!

There's a rumor going around that this new Klugheim area will include a family coaster as well and people are saying that it could be a Vekoma junior boomerang.

You don't need to know that the lift motor overheated or that a bird flew in front of a sensor.

Remember when Rita broke supposedly broke both that girl's wrists from the launch force at AT?

Over half of all people in line would automatically assume they're going to die or worse if they hear a bird flew in front of a sensor. When the cable snapped on the stupid swing ride at CP last year everyone decided the car flew off the ride and killed everyone.
