The winner of American Idol today is from Connecticut.
Probably the most exciting thing to happen in this state since having Lyme Disease named after us.

I lost count of how many American Idol winners there were thus far. I stopped caring about who won probably around season 7 or 8, and there are only maybe 3 winners that I even actively listen to. I think the year Jordin Sparks won was the last time I remember rooting for someone to win. I don't even watch it anymore nor do I still care about it, not even the auditions. I have a feeling Simon leaving the show might have had something to do with it.
