Hello fellow coaster friends [:)]

I've not long come back from visiting Alton Towers and I'm totally addicted to inverted rollercoasters having went on Nemesis 6 times. I live in Scotland and I'm planning on going to Thorpe Park next spring when it opens. I'm very curious to know from people who have been to both parks, which is best? Nemesis at Alton towers, or Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park? or are they both identical?

I've heard that Nemesis is much better. It looks like the best B&M also. Nemesis Inferno is just like all the other B&Ms out there. Unoriginal and boring.

nien, the original nemesis is good but imo Nemy inferno is better. Maybe just because ive ridden nemesis so many times but still, id go ride nemy inferno again just for the drop out the station. And really unless you ride from the front seat you could close your eyes and wouldnt really know the difference. The only thing nemesis has over nemy inferno is that nemesis is built into the ground. But still i say inferno is better

we have an exclusive nemesis inferno onride video at the end of our Thorpe Park video if you would like to view it. By the way, it's had hundreds of downloads.

go there and near the bottom of the page you'll see the Thorpe Park video download links. Enjoy!

Nemesis Inferno is just like almost every other B&M. I could sleep through it.

Nemesis Inferno is simply amazing with its theming and re-ride ability. However if you are after high G's, the original Nemesis is the better of the two.

Hmm.... Kind of a mixed response over which is best.

I can't wait untill Thorpe opens in 2004 so I can finally test Nemesis Inferno out and see for myself which really is the better of the two.

Excellent video of Nemesis Inferno in the Video Download section of the site BTW. Thanks very much 'The Edge'.

Nemises is alot better in my world simply because it has more theming, plus it is also built half underground which makes a difference. I also like the force of 4 g's on Nemisis

I'm going to say that Nemesis is the best probably because i live next to it, lol. There is a reason and that is because of all the work that obviously went into building that ride, i mean, just look at it. Having said that nemesis inferno had some good features too, the drop out of the station and into the steam tunnel thing was brilliant. theres like 500ft of track before the chainlift. One problem with inferno though is that there is no theming other than a big plastic volcano, lol. It doesn't even look that good. So all in all i would say Nemesis.

I vote for NEMESIS! Nemisis Inferno is a bit too much like all the other B&M inverts. It is a solid build, but the orginal Nemesis has 4 g's, is buried in a giant pit, has amazing sculpted monsters and nightmare formations surrounding it, and a giant "blood" river flowing under it. Nemisis kicks out Nemesis Inferno for sheer power and originality.

Just goto the 'Slappin Videos' section, scroll down to the bottom, and there you have two excellent videos of Alton Towers and Thorpe Park curtousy of The Edge.

Nemesis has to take the crown out of the two considering there are
no real major drops in the ride the speed the ride achievs is amazing
and I still rate it over Montu! Nemesis Inferno is good but it's
just another B&M coaster(which I think are getting boring)
roll on Spinball Whizzer now that ride is supposed to be for
families looks like it could be quite intense!

This really comes down to what you like better. You see a mixed opinion here. I havn't been to either park, so I have no right to say anything. Choose what you like better...

yeah, they're fun, but extremely tame. Not intense at all.

Nemisis at Alton is a definate best compared to the new one. Its themed wayyy better than Inferno, its wayyy more original than Inferno, and plus, its just more fun to look at. I've never ridden it but I want to SOOOOO bad.
