It's really not looking good for Alton right now. Negative media coverage combined with most of the rides breaking down/closed will probably not bode too well for park attendance

It got reported on because it's a slow news day. Mantis evac got media coverage once when a MF evac, which is considerably more major, didn't (while it was raining).

Yeah. Not too big a deal but the media turned on the park like starving hyenas. That coupled with the locals constantly kicking them in the nuts is definitely going to make future approvals and marketing that much harder for them.

^^Off topic (a bit) but wtf is with MF's catwalks? That would be the most terrifying thing ever walking down those things (if you can?)

This is also likely only making the news because the Sun (rival tabloid newspaper of the daily mirror and metro - where ALL these non stories are originating from) do an offer for free days out to Alton Towers if you buy their paper. I wouldn't be surprised if the Mirror/Metro have literally sent someone to Alton Towers to make news out of anything hey can - in order to damage the Sun's reputation. Alton Towers is just collateral damage.

Notice how this is always pinned on Alton - and not Merlin as a whole.
