What ride removals/ride removal announcements made you particularly angry?
Mine are:
-Hellevator (KK)-I know there was that incident where the girl got her feet severed but there was an incident one time on Mindbender at Galaxyland where people died and it???s still operational even to this day. I know of at least one person who would have still rode it if it ever reopened after the accident, and I probably would too.
At least now there's Fear Fall. It may not be as tall but the fact that you can???t just look up to see where you???re going combined with not stopping at the top makes it scary.
-Chang (KK)-Where do I begin? There???s the fact that KK didn???t have another coaster just as impressive or more impressive, so it???s completely different from relocating an off the shelf clone or removing a ride that had a major accident. Also, there were no public ???last rides??? announcements, at least not to my knowledge, which makes it somehow feel a little more shady. They also started dismantling while the park was still open for the season, and IDK why they'd do that if it didn't reopen at its new home until 2 years later, or why they'd announce a waterpark expansion only to immediately close the park after (even tho there still ended up being a waterpark expansion anyway). This was the one where I have been pretty much trained to throw that whole ???it???s popular and high capacity and never had any major accidents, they???ll never remove it??? argument out the window. I still have not completely gotten over it but it???s possible I might finally make peace with this depending on what the Twisted Twins announcement is like.
The only good things I can think of that came out of this are that now there???s Deep Water Dive, which was featured on Travel Channel???s Extreme Waterparks, and I don???t have to bore myself with Hook???s Lagoon waterslides if I want to go on a body slide. I like Wave Runner too.
-Rolling Thunder (Great Adventure)-It would be like if Kings Island ever removed the Racer, and if they did that, then they changed it now it sucks. It wouldn't be as bad as removing The Beast but it would still suck.
-Thunder Road (Carowinds)-Yet another wooden coaster biting the dust, and I read it???s for a waterpark expansion. I really hate to see ordinary wooden coasters being removed, even if they're not at any of my home parks.
-Great American Scream Machine (Great Adventure)-Just because Green Lantern replaced it. Otherwise I wouldn't really care one way or the other.

Here are my few honorable mentions:

Jaws - Universal Studios Orlando - Where do I even begin with this? I remember riding this a lot, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a a good variety to the park and was definitely a stunning attraction. The animatronics, the suspense and the overall experience definitely made this ride great. When it was said to be removed, I was really upset. Although the replacement is amazing, It sucks to see a good ride disappear like dust.

Back to the Future: The Ride - Universal Studios Orlando - YOU GOTTA BE EFFIN KIDDING ME! This ride was awesome, I remember it being one of my most favorable rides at the park, and overall it being one of my favorite dark rides of all time. Then it's replaced with... Well, complete garbage. Sure, Simpsons isn't that bad, but to become a ride that replaces an already great ride just didn't work for me. It didn't fit the park that well in my opinion and I think BTTF staying would have been a much better decision.

Chang left like that because Six Flags technically didn't own the park and therefore couldn't sell it. Instead they realized they could remove their major attraction before loosing the park and make more money that way. Hence why it took so long to give it a new home, they had no plans yet.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

Not really a removal but I still hate SFNE's decision to change SRoS into Bizarro. It would be fine if they kept the same trains.

Also SRoS was voted as one of the best steel rollercoasters and the park decided to change it because logic.

Just don't employ stupid people and you're golden.

That's like finding a Waffle House with no white trash in it.
