NL2 Help Needed: "Cannot load file (Invalid file format)"

I searched for resolutions and found someone with the same problem on a thread on NL-E but nobody helped him haha. I was just working on a track, and saved it, and left. Then when I returned to the editor and tried to open it, it will not open. The message center gives me an error, "Cannot load file (Invalid file format)"

I don't understand. I did not touch the file. I see in the folder there is a back-up file created automatically. Can I use that somehow? Any help is appreciated.

Fixed it. Sorry, a mod can delete this. For the record: I just took out the "_backup" from the backed up filename and opened that.
