Perhaps the track with the giant spine was for the first drop or some other high-g section and the regular track was for the rest. On Baron 1898 the track gets large at the bottom of the first drop but goes back to normal size for the rest of the ride so perhaps this is B&M's new design.

It's not a bad layout at all, but I still don't buy it really being from B&M and it just doesn't seem really plausible in general.

Gonna say fanboy creation, Cedar Point has been using 3DVIP for their videos, not NL1-2. Plausible it could be someone who saw something, as that's happened before, but I'd say it's just a guess. Can't say for sure til the official announcement though.

I can't believe this

This is just an NL2 fanmade concept posted on TPR today. The first reply predicted this would happen.

It looks good, but as DC said CP has been going to 3DVIP every year since they started up, and besides, the shaping isn't dead-on accurate like the professional renderings usually are

It's very soon for sure. Is there a precise date yet?

That is a cute design! But yes, as DCS said, Cedar Fair / B&M are using that other advanced 3d software for their animated previews, not NL2.

They say 3ds Max is hyper complicated. Like the more confusing version of NL2 editor? ;)

It's fan made. CP uses a different rendering service (not NL2) and the provider they use tends to mimic the B&M shaping way better than what's in that pic.

Yes all that's left to go on the coaster wall is Rougarou and after that will be the new coaster.

The announcements going to be sometime in August. They'll probably put up the exact date this week along with rougierougieroo.

Hopefully we'll have an announcement date in the next few days. If it is indeed the heavily rumored dive machine, something to set it apart from its predecessors (and Gatekeeper, come to think of it) would be nice.

If they really stress the idea of a holding break before the drop, I think people will see that it's vastly different from Gatekeeper. I'm actually kind of hoping for this; the only Dive Machine anywhere near me is Griffon at BGW.

If it were the official animation, the shaping would be dead-on accurate (and I mean *nearly perfect). Mcveen invented his own way to create track/supports accurately in 3ds Max if I remember correctly. That first immelman in the image looks too round to be real B&M shaping

Pretty sure McVeen's tracks are imported from the real rides, hence the accuracy. Banking is generally (always?) slightly off though for whatever reason.

I got bored the other day so I decided to make my own interpretation of the layout based on everything leaked so far. Ignore the Shaping, I made this in an hour.
Here's the view from the Iron Dragon midway.
Image
And the view from the old bumber cars plot.
Image
Top View.(I accidentally built the station over the car ride that hasn't been removed, but with some adjustments this could fit easily.)
Image
Layout: I wanted to try and make it as intimidating as possible
230 foot drop. Beyond vertical just so they can go for steepest dive machine record. It also gives the illusion of the track vanishing better.
190 foot tall Immelman. Worlds tallest inversion and right on the midway.
165 foot tall loop. Worlds tallest loop (If the mack doesn't beat it) Again, right near the midway.
Curve up to midcourse, with second vertical drop into tunnel(About 160 feet tall)
120 foot dive loop. Once again over the Iron Dragon Midway
Camalback into splash down near the old calypso area
Curve over new midway to get to splash area
Inline Twist back over splash pond
Helix before the brake run.

Can't wait to see the official layout still.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

Am I the only one who thinks that it might not be a dive coaster? I'm still a bit skeptical about that.
