Custom path creation. I mean think about it. If Nolimits 2 made a better attempt at what TPS tried to do, the ideas could be unlimited.

Think of it like this, a tab for path creation, with maybe 3 different paths to choose from. You can also make your own 3D paths and hook it up to the tool, similar to how track is made, you would just add nodes for the paths, and you can connect nodes to preset pieces that can merge or split paths into two. In other words, you can also connect stairs to nodes and buildings etc. With enough thought it would be a fairly simple addition to the game and could do wonders :)

I want that you could switch between backwards speed info instead of forwards. same as with the Gs. Then it would be much more easy to make switches in a coaster that goes forwards and then backwards on a other track.

Oh man! I'm bad at explaining things! :)
Yes....

i think if they were to just rewrite the wood magic, they could just make it support everything with bracing and so the rides look more real based on real world examples, and didn't they staTE that they would tweak wood magic to allow wood magic inversions instead of just impaling them with supports through it. hell, just make it use the i-beam on anything over 90 degrees and such..

I wouldn't be surprised if the actual structure script from wood magic is still unchanged and dates back to somewhere in 2002-2003.
For so far I've noticed, it's only been slightly modified with the beam offsets. But the type of structure remains the same.

I think one of the biggest problems with the auto wooden supports is the lack of realistic supporting on track banked past 70 degrees or going upside down etc. If they were to fix those problems, and to make the generator work with inversions and what not, it would be a very big change in the amount of wooden coasters made. When I say that, I mean mostly GCI's and RMC's, since those are the only two that really have inversions and what not (I think). But I know myself that fixing the supports on an RMC get's very tiring really quick, so hopefully an update to the wooden generator would do wonders.

I noticed that the background of the editor now has the Nl2 logo when you click on it to load the editor. It used to have a grey or dark blue background. Does this mean the new 2.2.0.0 update will come very very soon?

-I'd like the ability to lock the cursor for terrain painting, for straight lines. Maybe you hold shift?

-The ability to set a point on the track to view "track" on instead of cycling through the whole track just to get to a point.

-How about giving a "rating" system, kinda like how RCT2 did after you "tested" your ride.

Are trains simulated to have a full load or empty as it appears?

Then i can get a 90,000 Uber nausuia rating for making a 689 quadrillion mph coaster!!

Just to be clear - NL2 devs have made it plainly clear that this is a simulator and not a game. Anything like rides being given a rating and 'peeps' will not be implemented in NL2. The pathways is an interesting thought though because it would give theme parks a lot more flexibility and power to create a more realistic promo video.

^I think adding people would also give themeparks a lot more power in creating lifelike promotions for their coasters. It's currently possible to 3d model people and attach them to the train, as I've successfully done it. But with some movement animations you could get something that rivals a 3DVIP animation.

It changed quite a bit, actually. The NL2 version generates realistic beam spaceings (~6ft) compared to the much less dense NL1 version (~10ft)

I've never referred to this sim as a game, lol. Adding a rating system would be more simulation than it being a game. The rating system would logically be summed from all the comb "ratings". The sim knows how to read a smooth, fast ride. I think we love smooth, fast roller coasters. We may even think it's "fun." Simulators aren't meant to be fun? Well, I have fun with the sim, so.

^Well, experiences are subjective so...

NL/NL2 kinda wasn't meant to be fun but I still enjoy it. I can see his point.

I think scenery layers should be useful.
Like a layer "Rocks" and a layer "trees" so that you can hide the trees and work on the rocks.

I got this message when loading a park in NL2.

The park file was saved using a newer version (2.1.5.7).
This file might use features or depend on bugfixes not present in the current application version (2.1.5.0) and might therefore not work correctly!
Please update to the newest application version.

Does this mean that Kyle Solane got a hold of a new version of NL2 and he is testing it?

He got a hold of it for the sake of testing out a new feature, in which I'm unsure if I can disclose, so I'll keep it secret. That doesn't mean it will come out tomorrow, though. He's had it for a while. (I think, I remember him mentioning it)

not a request for the program itself, but can anyone make or point a tutorial or something that explains how to optimize your scenery objects?
What are these for?

I sometimes use NL as a bike simulator. Vekoma's motorbike rocks! :D

An update for the Mack with the other spine types (and updated chain position) would be nice

^ Thanks for posting one neat image - a vertical loop that wraps around a lift hill! I can't name that coaster properly, though. Under construction (maybe in China) yet?

I believe it's Lightning @ Lewa World - the worlds tallest loop! There's a CC thread here.

A big want for me is proper animation import. As in, something that can import animations from programs like blender, and even support skeletal imports.
