The point! More of a fantasy but the next few years will be huge for the park.
2016: Dive coaster, blue streak midway revamp, raptor and TTD repaint. VR tested on rides during haloweekends but doesn't quit working and not well received. Concept is abandoned.
2017: Year 1 of a refresh of the back of the park. Food gets revamped, Maverick Repaint, Western themed dark ride, general refresh of midways. Mean Streak Closes
2018: Evil Streak, new flat ride (Giant Airrace?) in the infield of mean streak. Midway refresh.
2019: (This one is a huge stretch but could make sense) Soak city closes. Most of the slides get relocated to Geagua. Major land clearing happens but no announcements on replacement. Minor improvements inside the park including a new flat ride where the stadium was and a bluestreak retracking with new trains.
2020: The Big year!(Also still a stretch) Soak city is replaced by TWO coasters, new midways/food/games. To the left of magnum is a GG recreation of the old CP cyclone but with a few modern twists (No Inversions). To the right of magnum will be a poler coaster, and the first to top some 100 foot interval. Classic rides and themes are brought back all over the park. Including the beach swings and 1 or 2 other classic flats.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

Europa-Park, Rust, Germany.

2016: The road to the park gets moved even more (at Wodan & Blue Fire's current location used to be the road to the park's parking lot) and the "Island" (German for Iceland) area gets extended. A Huss Top Spin gets added and Iceland officially becomes marketed as the "Thrillish Section" of the park. Mack (owner family of the Europa-Park) finally realizes that even for a family park, a thrill ride isn't too wrong!

2017: The Virtual Reality tests at Alpenexpress Enzian (Mack Powered Coaster) are finished, the concept is being accepted, especially by the kids. Every rider now has the choice to either wear a VR unit, or enjoy the ride as is. In the same year, VR tests at Blue Fire get intensified.
Silver Star (B&M Hyper) gets a slightly new color scheme. Elements of dark-cyan can now be found on the trains, to match the colors of the Mercedes-AMG Formula One Team.

2018: VR is now fully available on Blue Fire as well, optional that is. A huge announcement is made. The official park app now displays queue times for all rides perfectly exact, minute precise.

2019: The park gets the tallest free-fall tower in the world - also in the Iceland part of the park. A self-made device, made by Mack Rides. Mack Rides is now into serious thrill rides, rather than only family rides.

2020: Eurosat (opened 1989) gets a general overhaul. The track is smoothed and slightly extended by one additional helix. Friction is changed, the trains now reach 69 km/h rather than 60 km/h. Hence the ride time stays roughly the same, even with the additional helix.

Just some tired thoughts and ideas...

My predictions for Valleyfair's next five years:
2016) Larson Flyers and General Improvements
2017) New parking lot that replaces Excalibur; new waterslides in Soak City
2018) New flat ride that replaces the amphitheater
2019) B&M invert in the back of the park
2020) More waterpark additions

This should be fun. By the way 2016 is ignoring all rumors and possibilities. This is staying realistic while also factoring in my wants, not enough that it's too unrealistic (like the giga coaster dream thing)

2016: Ground-up twister layout RMC by the lakefront. New shops and facilities would also be built so that that section can generate revenue.

2017: General improvements, including operations, maintenance, and the general look of the park. Nitro gets repainted, and Kingda Ka gets the new Maverick/I305 style soft restraints that are higher up than the current ones (just like the old versions were).

2018: Green Lantern gets converted to a sit-down or a floorless with a retheme, repaint, and new vest style restraints. To brighten up the area Superman would also be repainted.

2019: Flat ride package spread out throughout the park as well as more shows making the park a little more family friendly. Also, I would rebuild the path that connects the Golden Kingdom to Plaza Del Carnival. Seriously, having to walk around through the boardwalk just to get from El Toro to Kingda Ka which are pretty close together is the most annoying thing about the park layout wise.

2020: World's fastest and longest Intamin multi-launch Blitz Coaster. Would be located in Old Country and stay close to the ground and dive around in the forest, making for one hell of a ride. Perhaps it could use the Chiller's old station.
It's been a long time

Let me fix that for you.

Valleyfair, Dorney Park, Worlds of Fun, Michigan's Adventure:
2016: Nothing
2017: More nothing
2018: Still nothing
2019: What were you expecting something here?
2020: New restaurant to make up for five years of nothing

Dollywood is my favorite park ever so here is a plan for it.

2016: Shot Rod and hopefully some refurbs to the Jukebox Junction area to bring it back to life.
2017: New waterslide/slide complex for Splash Country.
2018: Start of expansion into upper train loop area. (This is a project that the park has wanted to do for a long time)
2019: Continuation of expansion and addition of a family and thrill coaster.
2020: Splash Country expansion.

SFOG is my homepark, not my favorite though.
2016: At least two thrill rides. A HUSS frisbee perhaps, and maybe a pirate ship ride (I don't think we have one.). Georgia Cyclone closes.
2017: RMC Georgia Cyclone with inversions and all of that good stuff. Give Ninja new, improved trains.
2018: Retire Whistlestop Park. Take out the go-carts, and replace everything else with a new themed area.
2019: Premier Rides Sky Scream rollercoaster in place of the go-carts.
2020: Replace Acrophobia with a Falcon's Fury-type ride.

Okay, so my home park right now is Cliff's in Albuquerque....so if I'm being 100% realistic:

2016: nothing

2017: nothing

2018: nothing

2019: nothing

2020: nothing

^and that's on the optimistic side...

Alton Towers:
2016: Air Retheme, Blade removal, Ripsaw relocated to X-Sector to fill submission's gap (arguably not enough space) and Dynamo (Huss Breakdance) reinstalled in Forbidden Valley near-ish to Sub Terra. Smiler to reopen at the start of the season with additional safety features (bubblewrap cars)
2017: Off year due to the Smiler Incident
2018: Gravity Group rollercoaster featuring a huge drop down into the valley - station being based around old location of Blade & Ripsaw
2019: More rope swings added to enchanted village or something equally irrelevant
2020: Removal of the Flume, Installation of a Intamin log flume with several switch tracks (obviously we'd keep the giant duck theme piece)
Coaster Count - 198

I think it's pretty clear right now that Six Flags will never add flat rides unless they can market them as coasters.

I don't care about being realistic:
Kings Island:
-2016-Water coaster and/or trapdoor waterslide
-2017-a mid-sized Gravity Group or GCI wooden coaster
-2018-a few kiddie rides
-2019-World's first B&M strata-coaster
-2020-Polercoaster wrapped around the mini-Eiffel Tower

Posting unrealistic plans is allowed, yay! Then let me go on with one of my favorite parks, Parc d'Ast??rix. That's gonna be fun to add my wishes!

Plans for Parc d'Ast??rix:
2016 - Replace Goudurix's track with an Intamin uber-smooth one, and with that, add a fast roll in a hill section after a vertical loop. That plan improves all awkward transitions! Terraform SOS Num??robis (Want some tweaking so you literally feel like on a Vekoma's Roller Skater.) for adding a more fun factor. La Galere has an inversion now!
2017 - Make Oziris more thrilling after a turnaround. I mean the last part needs more g-force snaps and epic interactions with Egyptian buildings! Retrack "La Trace du Hourra" so those bobsleds can maintain the speed by reducing a few MCBRs and putting more natural rocks near the track.
2018 - Retrack Tonnerre de Zeus and make a train "rotation" every dispatch. Slide track will be added for that purpose. (RMC or an original type. Just take your pick. Ride on whatever you like style.)
2019 - Convert "Le Vol d'Icare" into a Gerstlauer's twisty experience!
2020 - Ta-da! B&M Mega Wingrider that will rule all over that park! Goudurix wins a golden ticket award at the same time! European coaster fans regard that park as one of the best theme parks in Latin countries.

From 2021 through 2025 - Fortify existing water ride experience by landscaping. Other gentle flat rides excluding "Les Chaise Volantes" (Flying Chairs) are replaced with big thrills. Enthusiasts no longer think Goudurix is the world's worst looper. Now get ready to be named Six Flags Gaulois (Just kidding.)

I wish for these events! :D

Viper should never be taken out. If anything they should get new trains for it from Vekoma. Viper is art.

Kennywood of course! This is definitely fantasy, but is actually comprised of my friends and I's predictions for what could happen in the coming years.

2015 (already happened): Ice Age 4D Theater added, Jack Rabbit celebrates 95th year of operation, Aero 360 gets LED upgrade
2016: Volcano is retired, Phantom's Revenge gets a much needed repaint (1 color track), land clearing in ravine behind Racer
2017: Huge record breaking coaster of some sort (B&M Invert or RMC would be best)! Towering above Racer + Jack Rabbit and drops into the ravine for a high-speed ride under a bridge, through an abandoned warehouse, and rising high above PA's famous Great Allegheny Passage before racing back up the hillside!
2018: Turnpike makes a comeback (Under Log Jammer?), repaving of most pathways
2019: Gerstlauer Sky Fly/return of Intamin Drop Tower (under "Pitt Fall" theming) to replace Volcano's area
2020: Skyrocket repaint, other general improvements to park
