Cedar Fair knows if they remove Racer they're going to be bombed. Like, that isn't even a question. I doubt they're going to do it. I couldn't give less of a crap about Thunder Road, but if they mess with Racer they aren't getting any $$$ from me.
Mind Bender at SFOG is pretty great Check out my WIP thread Currently working on Thunderbolt, a second generation Schwarzkoph.
If it weren't for Banshee, Beast, Flight of Fear, Diamondback, Eiffel Tower, and a kickass children's area, I would actively hope for them to go out of business for this. Now I'm even more concerned for The Beast's "life", regardless of how legendary it is.

Even the BlackFish supporters would be saying Kings Island is worse than SeaWorld.

My opinion of this reminds me of the feeling of hating a company, yet I still use their products because the product itself is great and easily accessible. Is The Beast next? I should hope not or else I don't have a problem with Kings Island getting brutally battered by a huge storm like SFNO, even if it means I never get to ride Adventure Express, Diamondback, or Banshee again. Racers' replacement better make up for it and be pleasantly surprising (and that's easy to do since I'm not too picky) or else see above.
Everyone see that building at the bottom of the pic? Well that used to house some kind of theater attraction from when the park opened(I think). It's been confirmed that a dark ride will come this year from the power point slide with Cedar Fairs planned investments. That building has also been heavily rumored to be the location for KI's dark ride. Also the racer is an ACE coaster landmark for almost single-handedly bringing back the modern wooden coaster. CF has a respect for history and they'd never tear down the ride, especially sense it is still relatively popular and it is not costing a fortune in maintenance.

cedar fair doesn't care if its a ace land mark if that was the case Geauga lakes big dipper would still be running

That's like finding a Waffle House with no white trash in it.
I just thought of something: what if they plan to give it the RMC treatment? I'd like to wonder that myself but aside from (Twisted) Colossus, racing/dueling woodies lately are a doom magnet (Rolling Thunder, half of Twisted Twins, Thunder Road).
I actually looked into it a little bit and its basically just rumors. WIAT GUIZE I LOKED ON DAH KINGS ISLANDS TWITTER AND DEY PSTED A PIC OF ALL OF KIGNS LAND WITH RCER IN DAH FOREGROUND! HURR DIS MEANZ RACER IZ GUNA GO GIUZ!

I personally wouldn't mind if Kings Island ended up removing Racer because I personally didn't find it very interesting (not a rough ride, but it's kinda forceless), however, considering that Racer is arguably more iconic than Thunder Road was, I can't imagine how bad public backlash would be.
If they replaced it with a B&M giga I'd have no right to complain, except for maybe feeling like Kings Island is 'oversaturated' with thrill coasters. Even if they RMC it, I would still kinda miss the classic feel of the ride. I am probably in the minority when I say this, but I think wooden coaster roughness is fun, and is a factor in making it fun. I kinda like the feeling of rides beating me up. Maybe I'm secretly part masochist?
It's a classic woodie and it should stay. I really hate this new era of parks taking out their classics in favor of something like a waterpark. I think that they might just be running one side backwards again.
