Can we be honest here? While it always kind of sucks when something that's well liked is removed for something new, this is simply the way of development. It is not just a theme park thing, but a thing in the construction world as a whole. Buildings are brought down for new buildings to be put in their place. While its great to be able to showcase a piece of history, its also equally great to show that you can change with the times and offer the latest technology. This is not a new trend, nor is it one that will ever change.
What are these for?

I am probably in the minority when I say this, but I think wooden coaster roughness is fun, and is a factor in making it fun.

I completely agree with you - it's all part of the ride experience. think Devilsrule explained it perfectly in the other thread regarding wooden coasters being removed.

Not only woodies but coasters actually need shakes! We know that the roller coaster was born from a Russian slide or "toboggan" style made out of wood. Smoothness is not everything.

Yeah, I could care less if it was removed.

Remember that Racer is the coaster that brought in the second golden age of roller coasters. Most of your favorite coasters (Boulder Dash, El Toro, SkyRush, Fury 325) wouldn't exist without Racer. It could possibly be the most historic modern wooden coaster in the world.

You absolutely cannot retroactively speculate like that. Saying Fury 325 wouldn't exist without Racer is insane lol.

Uhhh that doesn't make Racer a good roller coaster. It is disgusting.

The two original things are the parking tollbooths. The entrance roads are being rebuilt.
A big drop is a good drop.

Can we change the topic title? Something like new Water park expansion for KI 2016.

^Agreed. Plus a mod edit to include the press release in the first post... maybe this could be Blase's first mod edit? :P

EDIT: Apparently TTD made a topic for it here

The Beast this year was the smoothest PTC running coaster I've ever been on.
