Under construction, yet you're letting people on it already. No OHSA compliance.

Fortunately we were able to capture this footage during testing using a simple go-pro and bar mount. Your concern is much appreciated!

Here are a few shots after the paint scheme was updated:

Dragonfly reaches 275-feet into the sky and taunts the rider with a 309-foot near-vertical drop. The rider will accelerate to more than 90 mph in the first drop. The coaster is designed for a smooth ride by maintaining a Horizontal G load less than (+/-) 0.9G at any point during the ride.

Thanks for asking!

Very nice! I am digging the color scheme!

Not sure if you were planning to do this or not but terrain alteration and maybe a custom skybox would really make this coaster pop!

Thanks for the suggestion and compliments! They are greatly appreciated! I have no experience with changing the sky. I will have to look into that! I'm open to suggestions on terrain type (I'm not a huge fan of hills and bumps for the sake of hills and bumps). This park will eventually be developed into an entire theme park complete with 3d modeled stalls/buildings.

Here is a quick update: Created a sign for Dragonfly.

Dragonfly is now fully supported. After working for 40+ hours refining/editing Dragonfly, I decided to reward myself with a quick, 1-night-woodie-build. Accelerator is a 3-lift-hill-woodie featuring an incrementally taller drop (50m, 60m, 70m) . A bit of refining to be done but mostly complete.

Here's a snapshot of the two coasters at dusk (Dragonfly's sign created with Maya).

That sign is fantastic. Anyone who knows their way around Maya gets props from me ;) That wooden coaster concept looks really cool. You get to experience the best part of the ride 3 times, and plus racing another train down the drop is a memorable experience. Great train interaction!

Yeah, just as you say, a memorable experience is much important than the great fear of height! :D

Thanks!! The Accelerator's trains (3 trains) eventually sync up which gives those riders a special treat!

I will be making a sign for Accelerator tonight and starting a new coaster for this park. I'm open to suggestions!

You and Unrealistic Coasters need to collab for the quarterly contest.

Yea! I hope you like it. The coaster emphasizes the drop, each drop building to the final, towering 70m-near-vertical screamer.

I try to make my coasters realistic while pushing the boundaries just a little.
Just searched Unrealistic Coasters. I am no longer (slightly) offended because his/her coasters/parks look fantastic (just did a quick search so i didn't see all)!

The idea is: if we had some extra cash what could we do? Perhaps our loan officer was generous with us this time around?

That was the idea, mkingy! :D It's not the longest coaster or the fastest but its (supposed to be) a pretty unique experience.

**Update:
Pumping out coasters lately - too many ideas and not enough time. I hope you are all enjoying my coasters so far. I will share them as soon as they are complete and I can figure out how to share. :D

Here is the latest addition that I am finalizing: The Monster

Image

The Monster specifications:

Total Length of Track: 2858.73 m
Length of Track (w/o Storage): 2800.74 m
Max. Height: 65.25 m
Min. Height: -8.65 m
Top Speed: 118 kph
Total Ride Time: @3:41

The Monster is a torturous track complete with 16 zero-g humps. We suggest fasting prior to taking on The Monster.

Here's the first ride video of The Monster. Coaster is complete. Working on scenery and theme development.

A new, shorter coaster after building The Monster (4 minute ride time!). Jacknife is a twin-station, B&M flying coaster that launches two trains from their stations at 140 kph up the main, 53 meter hill where they are greeted by the opposing train. The trains are received by opposite station at the conclusion of the ride (good way to disorient riders and keep them stumbling around the park, right?).

Color scheme pending. Open to suggestions. Track complete. Supports will be completed tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks for looking! :D

**Edit: I started to lay out the paths to walk around the park. Any suggestions for creating clean-edged concrete paths (no experience with this).

^I think there is a concrete path set made by Tom. You can easily find it, and it's really great!

By the way what does the rest of the layout for the dueling flyer look like?

As of right now the coaster is fairly short. I have been debating on expanding it a bit or leaving it. The only reason I planned on leaving it this length is a Vekoma Flying Dutchman coaster idea called Air Supremacy. This was my next coaster build and has a very similar style to Jacknife (possibly interacting with Jacknife?). Thoughts?

In that case you could leave it, as you don't want 2 similar rides (unless you're SFNE with 2 boomerangs across from each other  )

I will post a video of the ride in it's current state so everyone can check it out and let me know if it's worth standing in line for. I think it is. Also, it takes up quite a chunk of real estate for not much thrill. I'm not certain. You all be the judge of that! Will post the video as soon as I get home from the office.

Should I post videos of Accelerator and Dragonfly, too?
