Wow, that zero car looks awesome. Definitely one of the better train designs out there. :)

^ I'm so curious as to why you call that ride "Zero Car". :)

The zero car is the extra car in front of the front row seats. It's a commonly used terminology on Rollercoasters. :)

So after closely studying this video:

I think I know how this ride works.
It goes up the lift, down the drop, and as you'll notice, after coming out of the drop, there's a transfer track. Then you go through the layout, up the spike, and backwards. At this point, you're going slow enough for the small transfer track brake run to stop the train, and the train is transferred into the station.

It barely makes it up the spike.

Yeah... They said that a while ago...

And I'm hoping that was just a slow first run... Almost doesn't make it over the last hump

Those are really short trains! Also is it just me or is this very first ride running pretty slow? It almost stalled when going backwards.

Yeah, don't we go through this every time a coaster starts testing? ZOMG it's running slow! Yeah, it's early testing dude, relax. They haven't even weighed down the trains yet. :D

LOL, i was gunna ask if anybody took the time to notice that there were no weighted dummies in the trains before running in freaking out about the slow run....PLUS it's labeled as the very first run, which is ALWAYS slow.

Except recent B&M's which have been running faster on the first run and slowing down until opening.

Explain to me how Banshee, Fury, Leviathan, Thunderbird, etc. could have possibly slowed down before they opened.

This is like the ultimate Intamin fanboy comment here lol.

But people eaters also tend to have massive trains that weigh quite a bit more than a wooden coaster train. This extra weight makes the addition of weight (whether it's dummies or actual people) less noticeable than something with a small, short train such as this. As such, the difference in speed is much more noticeable in this video than it would be in a testing video of a B&M.

Different wheels. Rougarou hauled ass before opening too.

I remember Leviathan was running ridiculous in the test videos. I'm not sure if it still paces that insanely but it was flying over those airtime hills. Probably a wheel change

Excuse the self advertising, but this isn't too far off....http://www.coastercrazy.com/18710/Mongoose

Anyway this looks 1000 times better than the press release, so glad they didn't go with that weird turn on the spike.
What are these for?

I really dislike how they used timberliners on the coaster. They really need to use 3 bench 6 seater trains. Those run a good bit faster than the timberliners. I bet 4 bench woeld run even better.
