Looks like it should be fine for me and Linny, house move permitting. Estate agent seems to think we'll be moving in 5-6 weeks from now, so that is about that time.

But regardless, 95% certain we'll be there! Been too long since I went to Drayton.

Hmmm... It definitely falls on my only free day of that week. But flying back and forth on the same day might be a little too extreme/expensive.

Indeed Dirk - unfortunately I can't see us organising a weekend for this year - but we'll defintiely see if we can sort something for next year where we meet up... like Phantasialand...

I'll be moving to uni so I'm afraid I've made getting to most theme parks quite difficult during term time, make sure to post a good report!

I'm 100% coming now, but it's doubtful the missus will. Sunday is going to be the only day that weekend she'll be able to get on with any work thanks to other commitments we have on the Friday and Saturday. She'll come if she arrives at that Sunday without much work to do, but she usually has an entire day of work to do each weekend, so like I say, she's doubtful!

I'm pretty sure I can make this one, plus I haven't been to Drayton Manor for ages. If possible though I would need a lift (fuel money donated of course) possibly from Birmingham or surrounding area.

Yeah I should have room in my car!

i just need to finalize travel and things like that, but the only problem I've got is that the earliest trains (i'd either have to change or get a later direct service) get to Tamworth at 10:40, ten minutes after the rides open. for reference, i'll be coming from Sheffield (about an hour by train, more if I'd have to change), and the fastest train (the only one that goes direct} departs every two hours.

Well there's two other potential options here:

A) we've got a spare room that won't be in use that weekend so its a possibility you could come up to Birmingham the evening before and we can drop you back at the station after Drayton Manor.

B) My parents live in Leicester which you could get a train to for roughly 930 by my watch and we'd possibly be able to make up half an hour on 1040 - but for that to happen Gouldy would need to give Jammy a lift.

If all else fails I could pick you up from Tamworth after dropping jammy / holly off and we could probably sort out the tickets before to expidate our entry.

9 day warning! Skyscraper have you had chance to look into options further?

^ unfortunately, much to my disappointment, my parents aren't letting me go, partly because they don't know what you guys are like (no offence). i was really looking forward to it, hopefully another time (preferably not on a Sunday though). have a great day at the park everyone!

Ah that sucks, we will certainly be doing some early season trips next year - with there being no football it'll mean Dan is more likely to be able to attend!
