^I need to ride more coasters, especially woodies. It always sort of surprises me when people say their favorite B&M is a flyer, but I guess I really did enjoy the pretzel loop on Superman at Six Flags Over Georgia.

It's weird because I hate almost every flyer I've ridden. I really didn't like Batwing at SFA and the Zamperla Volares are awful. Superman UF is just really boring for me and is very low in my rankings with my least favorite B&Ms. I feel like Manta takes Superman's intensity and brings it up one step and that one step makes all the difference. Plus, the use of scenery and near misses works so well with the flying experience. That on top of the overall atmosphere make this ride almost perfect. I normally don't like a graceful ride, but I think it works really well for flying coasters and Manta pulls it off perfectly. I feel like Kumba deserves it just as much as Manta, but I just thought Manta was more fun for me.

Air is an incredible graceful ride too - so I definitely agree that it works well for flying coasters. It isn't intense enough though and so form an enthusiast perspective it really lacks as a ride. That said it's a great fixture for Alton Towers - the dual station means the capacity is fairly decent and it draws people interested in a less intense ride than Nemesis to that side of the park.

Also Zamperla Volares are the spawn of the devil.

That's why I thought Manta excelled. It still managed to be somewhat intense while still being graceful and having wonderful theming, atmosphere and near misses.

I take no responsibility for those atrocities. Let's not be placing blame on me.

If I have nightmares about riding the one at Flamingo Land tonight it's definitely your fault. I'd managed to surpress those memories until now.

I'm ignoring manufacturers if A. I've only been on one coaster by them, B. I've never been on a major coaster by them, or C. They built less than 5 coasters.

^ You're awesome at naming "classic" coaster designers as well, because you've proven how much you love every kind of coaster!

Keep updating! :)
