Kind of surprised they're completely getting rid of the old trains, but I'm sure the new ones will somehow be a lot better.

Noob I mean the B&M style sitdown trains. Wildfire is one of my favorite B&M trains.

Keep in mind that ride has been running almost year-round with minimal downtown for a LONG time and it is by no means a weak ride.

The Incredible Hulk Opened in April of 1999 and has been in continuous service until Sept. 8th of this year. That's roughly ~6000 days.

A normal operating day is 12 hours but can be as long as sixteen hours, the park is open daily except Christmas and Thanksgiving. We will use 12 as our hour average.

You can cycle a train once every 70 seconds, or ~51 cycles an hour.

12 hours of the day x 6000 days = 72,000 total operating hours
72,000 total operating hours * 51 cycles per hour = 3,672,000 total cycles.
3,672,000 total cycles * 3,700 ft = 13586400000 ft traveled or 2,573,128 miles.

Assuming they used the four trains they had equally, each unit traveled roughly 643,282 miles. That's to the moon and back almost twice....

So I reiterate and reincorporate the fact that there is not a single component on hulk that could not easily be justified as due for total replacement or refurbishment. Even down to the push buttons on the service panels.

They won't. The floorless trains on Mantis are a bit higher up off the track than the others to accomodate the heartline, I don't see them doing the opposite. It's probably just new trains.

Makes sense - however it might be possible to perhaps tilt the seats combined with a lower seat to lower the heartline or something. I wouldn't rule anything out just yet.

Any word on how much track has been removed? I don't suppose they'd go all out and re fabricate it to the floorless heartline?

At least they are putting effort into the refurbishment. If it was Six Flags they would've just scrapped the ride and put a Larson loop in its place.

wonder how much one of those track pieces cost? It'd make an awesome frontyard or backyard sculpture piece

Can anyone ship me a small piece of track? Up to 2-3 ties on the track would long enough to me

I wouldn't. It's gonna be at the same place with the same (I think) layout.

I guess it's a matter of opinion, I won't count the new hulk as a new credit though.
