It's time to get moving
Time for us to have some fun
There's no time to mess around
Cause our pain has just begun
We'll be thinking bout' our WIPs
As we chase that number 1
But we're leaving them behind
It's contest time
Mind Bender at SFOG is pretty great

i wish you'd included the existing supports so I could actually use them ;)

Edit: this is dumb but how do you get the template out of Read-only?
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

The fact that the template is at a slight angle it will make it much, much harder, who came up with this idea is the devil  !!! Good luck everyone!

I'm sure this is what CCI would've wanted.

Can't wait to see what people come up with! Just a tip, design your ride with preview supports on. That way you don't have to redo parts of the layout to make clearance for the supports.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

I'm slightly confused on the part of the template where the max height zone is set below the min height zone. I'm sure some videos of the real ride would probably help me but I just thought I'd make sure that this is meant to be a thing
What are these for?

How do I open the package format?

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out... Here is what I have so far! I am aware of the support situation I have going on.

you'll notice the beginning and end of the purple section lies outside the yellow section, this is because there is a tunnel under a pathway on the real ride, which is why it must be under a certain height, but over a certain height at the same time.

See Here:

hope this helps to clarify.

open the package using the no limits 2 editor and then unpackage it using the built in unpackaging tool.

I wonder if a normal hill is too mainstream for RMC

So as long as its either over the yellow or below the purple? That makes a lot more sense than what I was thinking.

Don't worry a fair few of us have misunderstood that part of the template.

Who is good enough at supports to make a steel beam structure with a 4-track crossover? I'm only asking because apparently I'm poop.

Feel free to use the wooden support generator and edit the supports to your liking. Also if it comes to challenging be sure to look at alternative solutions.

Also please keep in mind of this rule:

-This is NOT a collaborative contest. Therefore all work (excluding custom env, terrain, scenery packs, etc.) must be completed by the user who submits there design.

Don't forget to ask if anyone has any questions regarding the contest/template!

Just to repeat what I asked Blase on skype for the benefit of anyone else:

Are all clearances measured in frozen mode?
Can the storage track be anywhere within the template?
What consititues "unique to RMC" (this was a super useful question for me)?

Yeah, I know, I was just looking for advice in general. My layout is getting a bit wonky to make the most out of RMC's use of low speeds as well as high, so the track is doubling back on itself, and trying to fit 4 tracks through that lift/yellow area is difficult enough without supports.

slosprint I'd look at both the NMR supportwork over the paving area on top of the ones Meta posted earlier on rcdb.

and if it needs to be longer then check out truss bridges such as this one for some inspriation - remember that truss will work below the track if you create an archa bit like Ironbridge

hopefully that helps - I'm having to do some similar structure work too.

Clearances for the track are measured in frozen mode. Supports may go out of the light blue outline.

Storage may be anywhere along the track (Before the lift, Brake run, After the station, wherever you may please) As long as it is inside the template.

Unique to RMC are elements or combination of elements RMC has yet to used (I.E. Loops, cobra rolls, Immelix, a double down immediately to a double up, etc.)

I'd like to know that as well. Also is there a tutorial on how to make rmc I Box track?
