THE ROLLER COASTER WAS BUILT BETWEEN 1945-1947. IT IS AN EXACT RELICA OF A WOODEN ROLLER COASTER, AND MODELED AFTER A ROLLER COASTER IN OHIO, PA, OR CALIF. IT WAS A PART OF A COMPLETE AMUSEMENT PARK. THE BUILDER WAS FROM PENNSYLVANIA.

CAN ANYBODY KNOW THE NAME OF IT OR THE PARK?

appears to be a side friction coasters, but thats all i can really depict from the picture.

from futher examination it seems to be a relativly same model as Runaway Coaster @ Funland but mirrored http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery862.htm

but couldnt find anything that exactly resembled that coaster. You can get a list of all the side friction coasters http://www.rcdb.com/installationresult. ... tegory=106

Could that be Leap-the-dips, just an exaggerated version.

My guess is that it is Funk's Forest Park... if not then leap the dips.

"It may be a model from a park around Youngstown Ohio, I think the spelling is Idora Park. And I was told it look like a wooden roller coaster in a park around Pittsburgh Pa. Also I had a friend that saw one like it in Calf. It was made in either Perkasie or Perkieomen Pa. [ not sure of the spelling ] I hope this is of help to you. I will try to find out more and e-mail if I do"

Idora Park http://www.rcdb.com/locationdetail164.htm

could be the original Jack Rabbit, before it was renovated and had a layout change
