On the right: Kevin Gregg; and on the left, his wife: Anne Marie Gregg

I know many of you may not know him, but I'm sure their are a few that do; especially if your home park is somewhere in the North East.

Kevin Gregg, owner of Theme Park Maniacs passed away last night. The current reason is unknown but I'll keep this topic updated with info. I met Kevin for the first time at Great Adventure last year. And I've been friends with him ever since. He was a crazy, funny, and super cool guy. He went to Six Flags more times than any other person I know.

It's going to be really tough to go to the park tomorrow knowing he'll never be back.

RIP Kevin Gregg

May you have a fruitful coaster life in the heaven, Kevin. These days, I do feel every "classic" coaster website admin's age.

No extra info on his death yet but here is one of the rare photos I have with him. Needless to say, we both look a bit... odd.

Also, we are planning a meetup in the park on November 1st to not only ride rides, but to remember Kevin Gregg. If you live in the area and you knew him, I urge you to go to the park on November 1st and have a moment of silence for him. If you want to attend, PM me. Thanks.

The obituary has been released.
Take a read on the official site here, or read the copy pasted version here.

Kevin Michael Gregg, age 37, of Barnegat, NJ passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 8, 2015. Kevin grew up in Beachwood, NJ, attended Pine Beach Elementary School, Toms River Intermediate West, and graduated from Toms River High School South in 1996.

As a child, Kevin developed a keen interest in turtles, after graduation his grandmother saved one on the road and brought it to him. At the age of nine, he acquired a turtle who lived the life of luxury as Kevin's constant companion, right up to the day Kevin left us. He had that turtle for 28 years. Kevin can only be described be described as unique, imaginative, fun loving, mischievous and as a child, a complete handful. But he grew up to be a fine, charming, thoughtful and caring man who was loved and awed by the many people whose lives he touched. I guess one could say that Kevin was "pure entertainment." All who met him admired his enthusiasm and zest for life. Kevin was, above all else, a platful force to be reckoned with.

Kevin was employed with TME Maintenance at Lakehurst Navy Base, later transferred to Earle Navy Base where he was currently employed at the time of his death.

For the last few years, he became somewhat of an" internet sensation" with his videos, websites, blogs, etc. for the Theme Park Maniacs and other coaster and amusement park fans. He trekked with his wife Anne Marie from one amusement park to another in state and out of state, video taping with a "secret" camera in his crazy sunglasses or whatever was the costume of the day every single adventure and sharing them on the internet via You Tube where you can still find them. His website explained in detail everything you could ever want to know about his amusement park escapades. Six Flags Great Adventure is now aware of the importance of remembering to "up sell the teacups."

Despite the fact that he is most known today for the theme park fascination, there are just too many facets of Kevin and it wouldtake a novel to wxplain. For us, his family, Kevin was a devoted husband, son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin who left an emptiness in our hearts that no one can ever fill.
Kevin is survived by his sweet loving wife, Anne Marie Curcio Gregg, his grandmother, Lillian Harmer of Toms River, his mother Pauline Harmer Gregg, his siblings, Kathleen Gregg Huertas of Browns Mills, Richard Gregg of Barnegat and Kenneth Gregg of Toms River, his mother and father in law, Andrew and Judy Curcio of Toms River and brother in law Joe Curcio, five nieces, four nephews, and one great grand niece and one great grand nephew and of course, his turtle feefil. In addition he has a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins and an ocean of friends who will all miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 2:00 ??? 4:00 & 7:00 ??? 9:00 PM at the Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. A funeral service to celebrate Kevin's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.

How exactly did he die? 37 is still a very young age for one's life to end.
