Getting rid of trees?

Is there a way to get rid of the trees outside of the editor? I've been adding terrain to one of my rides and I wanted water but now I have trees in the water. Any thoughts?

you can't get rid of trees outside the editor I think, but you can just go in the editor and remove them

Let me rephrase, I mean the trees that appear outide of the area you can edit. I used the terraformer on my new track and the trees are in the middle of a lake I need there...any thoughts?

You can remove trees in the terraformer, but it's pretty much an all or nothing type of thing. Once you remove your trees, you'll have to go back in the editor and add the ones you want.

To remove the trees in the terraformer, click on "terrain" and then "place trees". Select "place trees of randomly selected type" and set the amount to 0. Click OK.

I think he means the trees in the far background, between the land and the skybox images. You can remove those with the environmental tool. But i can't find it anywhere, maybe you can try google.
