Could you give me a metric guideline as well?

I assume this is going to be checked when the coaster is in a Frozen state.

Define good capacity. It's easier to run a coaster with 3 single x-car trains, than a full fledged B&M stand-up.

^^ Added!

^
The max height should be below 54.8 Meters if my calculations are correct.
The max launch speed should be below 112 Kilometers Per Hour.

Yes, the coaster will be checked in it's frozen state

And lastly, good capacity is definitely widely necessary for good points. I'll be judging by PPH, (People Per Hour).

Again, good luck to everyone!

Are we allowed to place scenery outside borders?

Yes! The only thing that has to stay within boundaries is the track and supports. This DOES NOT mean you can't have scenery outside the ride, and support structures to serve as scenery fit in that catagory as well. I'll put it like this, if it's directly connected to the coaster, it must stay within boundaries.

You can surely join, there's no due date for joining, but only for submitting your project. I'll add you to the list.

Is light terraforming allowed? So adding trenches and such?

Definitely! Any terraforming is allowed as long as the track stays (globally) under 180 ft. Meaning you can't cheat your way through by building your coaster on higher terrain. A station that's lower the terrain, however could be a good way to pass the system ;).

So yes, you an do as much terraforming as you wish, as long as the OS areas are still above ground. :)

Ah, what the heck, sign me up too! Might not be the best since I've been out of the loop (pun intended) from NL2 for some time now, but it'll still be fun to actually try out a contest :D

^You certainly can!

I'll abbreviate the rules a tad more, you may not go into the areas marked OS, but you may go around them in any direction, whether it being above, below, left right etc.

Wait..... We aren't allowed to build directly through the OC borders?

You are not allowed to build through the OS border, hence it being occupied space. You are allowed to build ontop or below it, as long as supports and track don't collide with it.

This was stated in the rules, sorry for any inconvenience.

And I assume tunnels can't interfere either?

I wont be too iffy on tunnels, if it collides in wireframe mode, I'll diqualify you, if it's in it's frozen state and a bit of station/tunnel/etc collides, I'll only take off a couple points.

Sorry for asking a bunch of questions, but could we add trees and hills in the x area in the middle or outside? And I cannot get three trains to work, it just says that multiple trains are on a block then crashes.

Yes, you can add as much scenery as you want as long as they dont go into the OS areas.

As for your train problem, try adding some midcourse brake-runs and what not to increase block count, makes running more trains easier.

yes try adding more blocks, also check your break runs and make sure your breaks are long enough for the train to stop before going over. that can cause issues too.

here is a sneak peak at my progress.

I've made an infinity, so the trains are 3 long, I added a block brake and still somehow isn't working. I might look up a tutorial for it if it isn't working. I still have one more spot where a brake could go.

you really shouldn't add blocks unless you need to. try changing the wait time in the station. let the train sit longer in the station so the train before it has more time.

to me it sounds like you need to adjust one of your break runs. For instance if you have one set to trigger the break in the center on the middle car, the front car may go over the block before the middle car hits the trigger causing an error. you can also try playing with the additional block length option to help.

I hope some of this helps.
