Reinstalling RCT1 on a New Computer.
How can you save your progress of scenarios completed?
I did it by accident once before but never really knew how it happened so I know it can be done.

Honestly I don't know if it's possible or if it's something simple like moving a data file over and replacing the same file after you've reinstalled the game. This all depends on if you're running the game through 14 emulators via GOG or Steam or actually running it "normally" too since it's incompatible with new operating systems.

You could also write down what you've completed and download the cheater scenarios that instantly complete the objective when you open the file and use the honor system to get where you left off.

As I stated I did already do it, I just don't know how I did it.

I was having trouble getting things to work on one computer so I installed it on a different computer to prove the software worked.
I now have the game working on the first computer.
I loaded all of the saved games, tracks, scenarios, data, everything.

Yes, I did all that was suggested but it still didn't work.
I was hoping to get an answer from someone that honestly DOES know.

External Link - but this site goes through the method required. Just be aware this isn't supported by Hasbro or anyone else so you're doing this at your own risk! (Make sure to back up save game files etc.)

@kingy, I too found that site and procedure and I followed it exactly and it did NOT work but thank you

I do not understand why but maybe it is because the original install and saved data was about 15 years ago using the original version of RCT1 with the add-ons of CF and LL.
I have all of the RCT original scenarios and over 50% of the CF scenarios completed, with all of LL still to do ( now on my bucket list).
The new install is with RCT Deluxe and already includes the add-ons.
I didn't think that would make a difference.

As I said above some how the data was transferred when the new software and old data were installed on one computer last week.
However, again this was done by accident and I have been unable to duplicate the process.

BTW, the original software and data were NEVER installed on either of these two computers until just last week.
I found the saved games and data in an old backup file and decided give this all a look again.
So I purchased new copies of all versions of RCT and NoLimits.
I have been having tons of fun and frustration becoming reacquainted.
