nope, you dont have to get them in a specific order. I only have 2 expansions. Livin' Large and Vacation. I like them both. But there is so many expansions now, so i dont really know the best one.

Can you only play them one at a time? Or is it when you install one it's included when you play the other. Like Rollercoaster tycoon.

I have every single expansion. That is the point of the game you know, to kill them off. I'm still undecided about The Sims 2. I'll probably buy it. Considering I never play the first ones but I still have all 7 (or 8? I lost count [;)]).

Eh, Sims got boring after three expansions, so I got rid of 'em. I don't think I'll be in a hurry to get Sims 2. However, I found SimCity 4 and Rush Hour (expansion pack) to be really good games, a mix of Sims and SimCity. Besides, you can have a little country city (kind of like in Charlotte's Web), or have a bustling metropolis. Also, you can get carnivals to come to your town. [:D]

In my opinion is "The Sims - Hot Date" the best expansion pack.
I like the idea to create your own town and just bring your virtual family into it. Well, I will buy the Sims 2, because I like the good graphic and the new options they put in it.

Baaa, the Sims, I never liked it, I tried playing it, but found more fun in making fires and other bad stuff happen to them. BTW, everytime I go to a computer game store I try to add up all the harddrive space that the game and all the x-packs take up, theres always a few not there, does anyone know how much HD space it takes up?

<<Me searches stacks of CD's that consume 3/4 of my room for HD...>>

Status : Found

Result : Unhelpful

<<Me now looks through the 5 file cabinets of owners manuals and instruction guides>>

Status : Found

Result : Space required=600 MB free on hard disk, less optional saved game space.

You know...thank you for posting this...I have found about 20 games from about 5 years ago I've been looking for [lol] [8D]

I just took a look at the site and there are quite some expansion packs:

  • Livin' Large
  • House Party
  • Hot Date
  • Vacation
  • Unleashed
  • The Sims Online
  • Superstar
  • Bustin' out
  • Makin' Magix
  • Console versions

I think the people who have all of them are very rare [:p]
