As you may have noticed I broke the site for a few hours today, it was for your own good, you can thank me later....

Since October of last year we have had a recurring problem with our old server rebooting all the time. We tried in November to fix it by replacing the raid card and performing a disk upgrade as well, but after considerable effort and several attempts we just could not fix the damn thing. In January I ordered a bunch of new hardware for TPI and included in the budget a new server for Coaster Crazy which arrived a few days later. Last week I ninja migrated the container that Coaster Crazy sits in over to the new server, but did not have the time to reboot the containers to let it detect the new hardware.

Today I managed to get around to doing that, as well as catching up on a bunch of maintenance tasks that just never happened. Please take a moment to test out the site and look over your accounts to insure everything is working as it should. Google sent a few reports last week that website performance was suffering and I made some tweaks to the network to fix that. Please let me know if you encounter any issues or subpar performance, frankly the new server is so overkill in every aspect that we should never have to worry about it again assuming the configurations are correct.

For you geeks the new server specs:

Dell Poweredge R430
Dual Xeon E5-2650 V3 2.6 Ghz (20 Cores, 40 Threads)
3TBs of SAS SSD Storage

As we move into 2016 we are in pretty serious need of a PHP developer. If you or someone you know is interested in working for Coaster Crazy on a project basis please PM me for details.

Can this new server run NL2 on max settings like at 1000 fps? Seems like it would be able to with 20 cores.

That's why I've had some difficulty in connecting to this forum for a few months. Thanks for saying. :)

That explains why I couldn't download a track. Thanks for letting me know and thanks for the update.

We still get an "no connection" error like once or twice a season. ;)
