Here are two pictures of my progress so far,
I'm at 60% supports, and 40% objects.

Trackwork is fully done. Including a splash! :)

I'm also having problems with finding enough time for completing my coaster but I will send in a submission! It won't be a good coaster but hopefully it's just enough to make it through the first round. ;)

Do the supports need to be based on the designer or the manufacturer?
Also,

Just a thought before I get too far in my creation, do you have a preference in which style we do the supports? Say we have B&M designed by Vekoma, would it better to support it as a traditional B&M or Vekoma coaster?

B&M if it's a B&M no?

I'll paste my reply to a similar question on NLE:

Depending on which two manufacturers you choose, you must be true to one of their supporting styles. As the supporting judge, I'll be looking for accuracy, quality, and innovation (though for the first round I'll be lenient....if your track is fully supported in a reasonable manner, you'll be fine by me). So no, it doesn't matter if he's using Vekoma supports for a B&M, as long as those are his two manufacturers. If he were making an Intamin/Giovanola and used arrow supports, that would be against the rules as it brings a third manufacturer into the mix. hope this helps clarify things a bit.

Basically I'll be looking for the supporting style of ONE of your manufacturers, doesn't matter which.

One more question. When sending the entry email do you prefer the direct file? Or do you want us to upload it here and send you that link?

Also because everybody else is posting cryptic photos, why not join the fun.

Really not sure I'm going to be able to finish as there's still much to do, but I took a screenshot a few days ago. The idea behind mine is that a park with an aging Arrow hyper asked Intamin to come in and retrack, as well as provide new trains.

Well, I had to scratch my original design because the result wasn't looking good at all, so I'm hoping I can still get something done by the 9th. I've got an idea, I just hope I've got time to build it in the next week.

Unfortunately, it's not going to happen. I'm only about 1/4 done and after today I'm busy every day until the deadline, so I'm out. Hopefully I'll have better luck next time.

Final construction update. As of now the layout and supports are done and all I need to do is work on the surrounding area.

But just to make sure does this count as a completion of curve ball #2

From the looks of it... those tunnels are in a valley area (low point of the ride) therefore you must change them in order for your submission to be judged.

3 days left and still nearly 1000 feet of track left to support, good thing I have 2 of those days off.

The Coaster Team- sneak a bunny hop into that tunnel, problem solved. Also I see what you're going for and love it. An Intamin X-car mix was one of the other ideas I had, since along with an Arrow I've never actually tried the X-car in a realistic way.

I would but I have perfected my layout and I do not want to ruin it. But thanks for the tip.

Would the ring/tunnel at the top count as a completion of curve ball #2? :?:
