[NL2] DKCF's Roller Coaster Peninsula

Even though I???m new here, I still got a lot of NL2 projects that I would like to share. Here???s a park I like to call the Roller Coaster Peninsula. So far, I have three completed coasters, with a fourth coaster currently being made. Let???s start this off with an overview of the entire park.

Moving on to the first coaster made for this project. None of the coasters have any actual names right now, as they are currently named by the design they each have. The first one is simply called Big Wood Coaster.

The next coaster I made is called Family Wood Coaster, which goes under and over Big Wood Coaster a few times. With the exception of the lift hill, this coaster went through a couple of design phases, mainly due to the speed needed to return to the station.

As you can tell, the obvious difference between both wooden coasters is that Big Wood Coaster is brown, and Family Wood Coaster is light tan.

The first completed steel coaster at the park is called Small Kids/Family Coaster, mainly aimed at kids not tall enough for the bigger and more thrilling coasters.

Now for the coaster that???s currently being made. It???s called B&M Hyperlooper. As the name obviously suggests, it???s a B&M looping hyper coaster. I plan on having at least eight inversions on this coaster. With the lift hill going over the two wooden coasters, making the supports will be quite a challenge.

For future plans, I plan on making a giga coaster, most likely an Intamin giga. I also plan on adding flat rides as well, depending on where I want to place certain ones at. Updates will be made depending on what gets done in the project.

Is this park set in China? The names are something that would be what we call their coasters because the names get lost in transition so they get quite literal. If not, perhaps you could be a bit more creative with it? I like what you're going for though.
A couple suggestions though, The darker wood coaster should be a bit lighter and more wood like to make it more believable, that brown just looks silly as wood. If you're set on using just prefabs for them, you could use a different set up for each one so they look different. I don't know if the process is the same as it was in NL1 or if its as easy, but you could benefit a lot from making one of them have a steel beam structure imo. For the B&M you could make the crest a lot tighter. I can see why it's so wide but if you tighten it just enough you can have the drop pass under the structure of the darker wooden coaster, which could create some great head choppers at high speeds. Does the kiddie coaster run multiple circuits? Since your park relies heavily on coaster interaction I would go for a B&M giga the flows around and/or through everything else or an MF style intamin instead of an I305 style.

The current names are temporary. Once I think of names for each coaster, I'll change them. I have considered making the wood coasters with steel supports, but I need to figure out a way to make them look like the real life hybrid wood coasters. The kids coaster goes through two circuits. As for the giga, if it were an Intamin, it wouldn't be an I305 style.

I would do what Ckidd said color wise for the wooden ride. It'll work since the larger one will look "aged" while the family one will look new.

Earlier today, I decided to make the wood color on Big Wood Coaster lighter, as suggested by CKidd and Coasterkidmwm. Based on the color I chose for the wood, I think it looks pretty neat, but that doesn't stop me from looking at others' opinions.

As for B&M Hyperlooper, I modified the first drop to where the pullout isn't directly over Big Wood Coaster.

In the meantime, I will be thinking of actual names for the coasters, but I'm not sure when it'll fully come to light.

This update is for B&M Hyperlooper. I've added four inversions: a dive loop, to a corkscrew, to a barrel roll, to an immelmann, followed by a MCBR.

I like how the coaster dives through the woodie, makes that section of the track really intense.

You do need to refine the trackwork however, there are banking issues throughout as the track felt quite "wavey" in points. For instance the ride would flow better through that first dive loop you rotated it later so you weren't truely "inverted" as such, but took it at a bank. Much like this picture of Dragon Khan or this of the Smiler.

^ Hyperlooper that goes under the wooden coaster tracks, makes me think of "Steel Phantom" that was said to go through the Thunderbolt!

Earlier today, after a couple of design phases, I completed B&M Hyperlooper, adding an additional 5 inversions to make a total of 9 inversions! The inversions after the MCBR in order are a dive loop, a loop, a barrel roll, and a double corkscrew.

The coaster originally had 4 trains, but because of its duration, I've reduced it down to 3 trains, and even modified the storage area.

With B&M Hyperlooper completed, two new coasters have been prepared for construction. Those two coasters are a B&M giga, and an Intamin strata.

^ You will call that track (in the last photo) "Strata" because the max height of a lift hill is over 400'! Not limited to well-known blazin' fast launches like TTD, Kingda Ka and Formula Rossa. Interesting! Can't wait to see that steel monster in progress!

Earlier today, I made videos for the completed coasters at the park, which now have actual names. I've also added two flatrides, and began work on the B&M giga.

It's time for an update on Vriden!

What I did is make the coaster go over 3 of the 4 coasters currently standing at the park. You might think that I'm crazy for this layout, but when it's time to make the supports for this coaster, it'll be interesting. You'll see why in the pics below. Some of you may not consider me crazy for this current layout, but everyone is open to express their thoughts about this.

Currently working on a B&M Hyper which gave me a lot of insight into their weird design quirks and I have quite a few nitpicks about Rasende.
- Lift + Drop is shaped very strange
- No lift transport box thingy that hangs off of B&M lifts
- Most B&M Hypers have only one catwalk lifts (typically on the right)
- Supports are actually great
- Banking is weird af throughout the entire ride.
- Lots of shaping mistakes (would recommend staring at photos of similar rides for way longer than one normally should while designing rides).
Mind Bender at SFOG is pretty great

For the past few days, I've been working on Vriden, and the Intamin strata. Vriden's track is complete, but the supports are not. Most of the supports on Vriden are prefab and are not part of the finished product. Now for some pics of Vriden.

Moving on to the Intamin strata, which will be named Stratalanche. I chose that name due to the obvious fact that it's a strata coaster.

The next coaster planned is a mine train coaster, and that will be heavily themed around trees. As for the coasters that I'm working on right now, I plan to keep my focus towards Stratalanche, while occasionally working on the supports for Vriden. Depending on how much work I get done, the next update should be up by the end of next week.

Now for an update!

So far, my main focus is on Stratalanche. I've added two more banked turns and a large hill. I do plan on adding a non-inverting loop somewhere in the middle of the coaster, but I need a MCBR so speed won't be an issue with the current status of it.
