Hello!

I'm coming back to NL after a long hiatus, and I started by making this coaster.
Here's a couple of pics:

The theming idea is as follows:
The ride starts inside a mine. (currently a tunnel, custom models maybe coming later)
You're towed out of the mine in minecarts
You follow the gentle track relatively slowly, past a shed full of explosives. (also hopefully a custom model)
The shed explodes, propelling you (LIM) along the rest of the track very fast.

Please be very critical of this coaster! I want to know how to improve it.

EDIT1:
Bad quality POV video:

EDIT2:
Beta now up!
PM me for DL link.

Wonder how you'd be able to do that in NL1. Doesn't sound possible in the track file itself.

^I'm imagining just having the shed be behind you, so you can't quite see it, but know it's there. Maybe sound effects too? I don't know whether that's possible in NL1.

I don't think so (unless maybe as a custom lift sound,) but NL2 would allow sound effects and explosion too.

Thanks for posting! I suggest adding a backseat POV in order to see if the ride gets a bumpy feeling or not. :)

Here's what I have for the station:

As I see it, these are my options:
  1. Raise the ground level above the tunnel. Pros: simple, looks fine. Cons: coaster looks like it's crashing into ground.
  2. Try to make a believable ground 3d model. Pros: looks great if done right. Cons: hard to do right, very hard to get to match track as well as normal terrain.
This is what a custom terrain model might look like:

Thoughts?

Beta now up! Note that the supports need much work, but I want until I've finalized the trackwork to edit them.
PM me for DL.

^ Tweaking is yeah, important before you start hyping your track. :)
