The exit of that Immelman looks really steep compared to their other coasters. I like it.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Oh so then they'll probably fill it with sand and de-roar it.

To keep people from sneaking in without paying. It'll hopefully be better than the previous iteration.

I heard that they were running it with the holding brake and MCBR both turned off to make sure it completed the course in the cold temps, so I don't think it will run that fast later on. :|

i don't think they will, it would probably be a bit to fast, and without the MCBR on, the wouldn't be able to run all the trains.

B&M's run at there fastest speed for the first test run usually. Even after they turn the midcourse and the holding brake on it'll still be running faster then normal, with harder wheels.

They normally start with all nylon wheels. As the testing progresses, they start replacing them with polyeurothene wheels to slow it down to their desired speed.

From the off-ride video I saw, it looks like they aren't using the holding chain but still bring the train to a crawl before the first drop. The MCBR is on, but it is not on at full strength so the train goes over the second drop at ~15 MPH vs crawling over it. It may be running a little faster in the video than the ride will actually run, but the difference is probably fairly small and won't affect the ride experience much.

Valravn is looking pretty good. Depending on what happens with Lightning Rod, I may have to alter my plans and try for a Cedar Point/Holiday World/Kentucky Kingdom/Kings Island trip instead of a Carowinds/Dollywood/Six Flags Over Georgia one.

When are you doing this trip? We're hoping for a road trip of sorts for August :)

^I'm not 100% sure I'm doing a trip yet as a lot is up in the air, but I'll hopefully know by early May. For the Deep South option, it would likely be the last two weeks of July. The Midwest option is a lot more variable since I haven't looked into it too much yet, but August could potentially work.
