2006 - Intamin Rocket Coaster - Rumor - (1/21/04) Screamscape sources have confirmed that to their knowledge, Blackpool has settled on adding an Intamin Rocket Coaster to the park in 2006 and is no longer considering any other rides like the rumored S&S Thrust X. From what I've been led to understand, they are actually very interested in copying the design of Cedar Point?????????s Top Thrill Dragster, though I can't be sure to what level of speed and height they are willing to go. Strangely enough, this would be the second Intamin Rocket Coaster to open in the UK in 2006, with the other planned for Thorpe Park.

Removal Rumors - (1/21/04) I'm not sure if this is related to the new 2006 project or not, but we've heard that the park may remove their Log Flume in the near future. Anyone else heard this?

I want Cedar Point to keep the record! I don't want to travel all the way to the UK just to ride a roller coaster!(actually i do want to go there but probably nobody would let me)

I wouldn't want to go to an amusement park to ride coasters that set records, theres no point to that, I just go to the parks that have the best coasters [8D]

That's lame why copy CP's design. Use your own. Add a helix at the top[lol](just kidding) Add it just before the brakes. Or add an inversion before the breaks. (Giant loop) Restraints would have to be changed.(or maybe not.)

Cough* Bullshit

Realisticly its just not gonna happen. If it does then ill be plesently suprised. Although a rocket coaster at Blackpool wold save me a 12 hour flight to Cedar Point, i just cant see it happening. I mean the winds at blackpool alone make any high-rise building generaly unsafe and occasionly when i go Pepsi Max is closed and so is Ice Blast. Would be kinda intresting tho having a coaster as tall as the Blackpool tower

I agree it's [r] .

Not gonna work in my opinion and look how much taller it would be than Pepsi Max It's be closed alot because of wind. (Not a good idea) They have to reinforce it so much. not too coast effective and Iron Dragon getting a repaint eh? Well I don't care. Never been on it don't think I ever will [lol]

That picture is slighty wrong anyways, edge. Look properly at it. Pepesi max the big one = 213.2ft. TTD = 420 ft. My conclusion is that TTD would be roughly 3mm, shorter than that on that picture. LOL, sorry to be so picky :)

yeah doesnt have much to do with the new coaster tho. Also if your check on coasterforce.com now, there is a comment from ACN saying the rumour is not from them

Brad Papas of ACN - I don't appreciate the negative comments about Coaster Force. You basically ripped us for saying WE confirmed this coaster. WE didn't, don't you dare accuse us of that... Check out the RCCGB message board to find out who confirmed it, and why they are trusted, but don't go trying to give us a bad reputation by saying we made this up.

here's more

2006 - Intamin Rocket Coaster - Rumor - (1/23/04) As odd as this sound, we've heard from a trusted source who claims that the ride will go out over the water. How they will do this, or get permission to do this is anyone?????????s guess

well that idea is even more ridiculous than the idea in the first place. The whole of the side closest to the sea front has 50ft building along it. That would mean they would either have to demolish a building or build the ride about 50ft in the air in the first place. Plus you really think the locals would like a coaster roaring out above at 120mph whilst your having a leisurly swim? Although you wouldnt catch me dead swimming in the sea there...

i agree, but only 100ft is a exaduration, i can see a 200ft coaster like Xcelerator, i think Intamin could build stronger supports then the one's on the Big one

my question is where the heck is BPB gonna find enough space for a coaster the size of TTD? They're cramped enough already.
