I just got NL2 and I'm a bit new to it, so can anyone teach me what to do about this?

So I go to front view and try to place a vertex to start the lift.

Once I place it, this happens.

It's not straight and it just goes elsewhere.

In this case: I usually go to the top view, click and wiggle the last vertex a bit, and then click 'undo' (to place that vertex back to its original location). Then switch to a side view and start adding vertices to that. I don't know if this is the correct way technically, but when you enter the side view after that, your new vertices will be added to that plane. Basically, whenever you add a new vertex in a 2D plane in NL2, the depth is going to be placed at default based on your last action in the depth plane.

^ This is my solution too, this was also a problem in NL1 if I remember correctly. It's not a huge thing as long as you're not like me and forget about it every single time
What are these for?

Just click a vertex on the coordinates you want it to be. If in 2d it lock the axis you cant move your object to (in the deapht)

Sorry cant explain good :D

You don't even need to click and wiggle a vertex from the top view; just click it. It'll snap to the last selected vertex after switching views.
X2 ??? Intimidator 305 ??? Millennium Force ??? Iron Rattler ??? El Toro ??? Fury 325 ??? Maverick ??? Skyrush ??? Twisted Timbers ??? Voyage
