It's not like anyone is forcing you to ride these rides. Plus lots of people enjoy them, without the whining. Generally I bet most of those who ride Scream have no clue there is one like that somewhere else in the world. Then if they did happen to go to SFGAdv, they would say "there is a ride with chairs like this at SFMM". And they wouldn't know the difference.

i think the would notice the the similar layout. unless they're that stupid.

*cough*

Ok. You said somewhere that the General Public would be stupid for not noticing a similar layout on a coaster. Then I scrolled up and saw this comment I quoted. I then had to ask myself... "Self, who's the stupid one here"

My conclusion.

You.

You are stupid.

"Six Flags wants to make money"

NO poop?!?!?!

Wow, and here I was thinking they wanted to LOSE money.

Once again. If you don't like a ride, don't ride it and shut up. Nobody wants to listen to you bitch about rides.

wtf, that was random
and MoP's got a point, I personally may not like scream, but almost every body who rides it will never know that its a clone. hell, most of them will never go to a park outa this state. My only complaint about SFMM is that it has crappy service, which is why I don't go there very often, that and its outa the way for me, 2.

G-Force, please shut up. You're embarassing yourself. And I'm sure everyone here doesn't "hate" the coaster, they just don't like it as much as the other ones. Even when I am writing all of my reviews, you'll not ice that I almost NEVER give coasters negative ratings. (Only Raging Wolf Bobs and Head Spin... and I only went on each of them once and never rode them again.) Also, all parks basically exist to make money; it's just that some, like the six flags chain, are greedier than others. I agree with MoP in the sense that if you don't like something, then why do you go? The only reason any amusement park or ride gets a negative score is if you go on it, hated it, and never go on it again. If on another visit you still go and ride that coaster, it must not have sucked that bad. After you ride wicked coasters like The Legend, Millennium Force, and Shivering Timbers constantly, your standards do become higher. But if the coaster lured you to the park to ride it, elevated your heart rate, and put adrenaline in your body, then the designer has done their job. Case Closed.

to who ever said "i think the would notice the the similar layout. unless they're that stupid."

when i was in cedar point, there was a group of people complaining and arguing in front of the mean streak model about which ride it was. (lol) one lady ws saying "it aint mean streak, it's the gemenii, it has tunnels, gemenii has tunnels and mean streak doesnt" then another person would say "nooo its mean streak, mean streak was the one with the tunnels" then they'd just go on and on about which ride it was. it's obviously mean streak because for one, it had a little thing saying somthing like "mean streak model" and it just looks like it lol. so, yes, the general public is that stupid when it comes to roller coasters. (they went on and on for about 20 mins while we walked around the rest of the museum) so they were obvously stupid enough to not notice the difference between the two rides. hell, they probably didnt even notice that geminii was a racing coaster!

And so what if they do notice the similar layout. It is still just as thrilling, even if it is a clone. Think of it this way. If you go to your home park, and it isn't your first time, you are riding rides that you have ridden before. Therefore, if clones are bad as you say, so is any park you go to more than once, in which case theme parks arent fun unless its your first time. But parks are fun even if its not your first time going there. So, in other words, clones are fine as long as the original was a good ride, and youre an idiot G-Force.[stoning] BTW, MoP, i couldn't agree with you more.[;)]

I've only ridden two B&M coasters, and I liked both of them. One of them in particular is possibly one of the most fun and intense looping rides I've ever ridden, and it's also one of many clones that can be found at almost all SF parks. Can you guess the coaster?

Just my two cents on clones. [;)]

Vortex at Carowinds. This is one of the few coasters where I wanted it to be over. Stand-ups are just not very comfortable for the lower body.

Ice side of Dragon Challenge. Awful headbanger and rough ride all-around.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

I'd probably say Vortex at California's Great America, which is worse than the Carowinds one IMO. It's not the worst coaster ever or anything like that, but it is unimpressive, fairly rough, and extremely short. It's the type of ride that I'll do if I'm at the park and the wait is only a train or two, but any longer and I'll skip it.

I would go with the Oblivion clone in China. It just looks silly without the underground sections. Also the color scheme is terrible. There are so many better options they could have gone with that would suit the terrain there way better.

Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

When I was a mid-teen, Insane Speed at Janfusun Fancyworld in Taiwan could be IMO the worst / the jerkiest B&M, but time went on and I actually like that banked turn part now!
