I'm going to leave off anything that would require a child to ride as I wouldn't bother with those (however, I will include kiddie coasters without child restrictions).

Rides closed on my visit:

Half Pipe (Elitch Gardens)
Hoosier Hurricane (Indiana Beach)
Nighthawk (Carowinds)
Stinger (Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom)
Klondike Gold Rusher (Wild Waves Theme Park)
Boomerang (La Ronde)
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (Disneyland Paris-Walt Disney Studios Park)

Rides with a longer line than I was willing to wait:

Little Dipper (Six Flags Great America) - 60 minutes
Spacely's Sprocket Rockets (Six Flags Great America) - 30 minutes
RC Racer (Disneyland Paris-Walt Disney Studios Park) - 70 minutes

Rides where I didn't want to hold my group up:

Roadrunner Express (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom)
Blazin' Buckaroo (Elitch Gardens)
Circus Coaster (Luna Park)
Sideshow Spin (Dollywood)
Puff the Little Fire Dragon (Lagoon)

Rides where I simply ran out of time before getting to them:

Wild West Express (Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park)
Great Chase (Six Flags New England)
Coaster Count: 535 (114 wood, 444 steel); Park Count: 110
Top 5 Wood: El Toro, Voyage, Thunderhead, Outlaw Run, Boulder Dash
Top 5 Steel: Superman the Ride, Fury 325, Millennium Force, X2, Intimidator 305

The girlfriend doesn't like going vertical, and I don't like standing in a long line alone, so I missed out on Ka on both my trips to great adventure this year, only other 2 I can think of is the mummy ride at USO, and Hershey's roller soaker.
What are these for?

Drachen Fire... the poor transitions ruined a pretty neat looping experience. :(

I missed out on Superman at Great Adventure so I could get 2 more rides on El Toro. Totally worth it.
Mind Bender at SFOG is pretty great

Couldn't she have stayed in the line with you then just not ridden?

I missed out on Vertigo at Walibi Belgium. I saw the ride standing in the park but (like most of it's existence) it wasn't open.

It looks like a pretty fun ride. Too bad it only lasted for a few days...

Original Bat at Kings Island. I waited in line with parents over two hours. We had one couple ahead of us to get on when it broke down. Never got to ride it.

High roller at Stratosphere in Las Vegas. The first time I went to Las Vegas, the Stratosphere was under construction. I didn't get back there until late 2013 after the coaster had been removed.

-I skipped all of the kiddie coasters at Carowinds.
-Mystery Mine was closed both days I was at Dollywood, presumably due to technical issues. I got to ride Lightning Rod but not Mystery Mine, go figure.

some friends and I did a spur of the moment trip to Worlds of fun one day, and while we were in line for Patriot, we noticed that trains weren't running regularly. eventually it got shut down and they came out and told us it wouldn't be running the rest of the day. it was the last credit of the day for us too..
