Could've been making room for a giant roller coaster but I'm really coming around to the whole skate park show thing.

Side note, I've been hearing that Valleyfair will not be receiving a new coaster in 2017 (yet again), and that the permit to build the new parking lot (which would remove Excalibur) has still not been approved.

^ I still have a slight hope that Excalibur might be saved or relocated to another park without getting scrapped. I know that's clearly a "hope against hope" thing, though.

May 8th on Mothers Day, Valleyfair will be opening to kick off the 40th anniversary celebration this year. They will open from 12-4 for SEASON PASS HOLDERS ONLY. almost all the rides will be running.

I will be there with my family, will you?

I would rather be in your NL2 recreation than in the actual park, by quite a large margin.

Looks like the flyers are testing.

Screamscape is rumoring that Valleyfair might get a dark ride in 2017.
2017 - Dark Ride or Interactive Attraction - Rumor - (6/1/16) There are a couple of interesting rumors going around concerning what Valleyfair may have planned for 2017. For one, the rumors of some kind of dark ride have been mentioned, though instead of a dark ride, we do wonder if it might be another EA style video game attraction like Plants vs Zombies or Mass Effect. In either case, the second part of the rumor claims that whatever it just might involve the site of the park's bumper cars. Why? Because normally the bumper car building is transformed into a haunt for the Halloween season, but word around the park is that it wont happen this fall because the site will be under construction for a "new, non-haunt related" project.
On a similar note, I've also been sent an email claiming to have seen possible survey markings around the Looping Star Ship attraction area as well. Can anyone else confirm either rumor?

Best case scenario for Valleyfair to ever get a new roller coaster is they level Renegade and get GCI to use the scraps to make a smaller GCI with a different layout.

Nah CF will just relocated a couple rides like Time Warp or maybe the SLC from CW so Valleyfair finally gets that invert.

At this point, an SLC relocation wouldn't even make me that mad... I would applaud Valleyfair if they could pull that off.

Anyone think it's a little suspicious that the only ride shown on this wall at Picnic Point that isn't at the park is a Vekoma SLC? #ValleyfairRelocatedSLC2017

There were rumors of Flight Deck closing to make way for Ziz.

Just for you people out there excited for Valleyfair's next coaster.

I was thinking the other day about where they would put a new coaster and I came to a decision.
The past few years all of the expansions have been scattered throughout the park and they would also upgrade the walking paths to the red brick. Now looking at Valleyfair there are only a few spots that don't have the red brick.
Image

The red circle is unlikely cause there is not much room for a coaster unless it went above the buildings. B&M seems to like making coasters like that but I feel its still unlikely.

The green circle however is in front of dinosaurs alive and it has been rumored that Dinos are going to be leaving. That would make a REALLY nice space for a coaster in the front of the park and the could redo the sidewalk with the red bricks.

Maybe going of the sidewalks isn't the best logic but it was an idea I liked.

Any thoughts?
