Maybe this will overdo Powerland's Junker! :)

I personally feel that Junker is better, but hey that's just my opinion.

To be honest this looks sort of poop. It's like every newbies first Newton coaster, just sorta meanders around with random banking transitions.

I had to triple take to make sure this comment came from you lol. You are the king of designing roller coasters that look like a first attempt at Newton.

I really don't like the thing after the drop. It's like they tried to make a cutback but ended up making it into a diveloop, but still forgot to make it invert. It would be better if they had like a banana roll there.

Basic power bottom is mad! People have to remember that every element is actively trying to circumvent the Sky Ride which runs diagonally to the parallel sections in this layout. They chose the best sequence of elements they could with the limited options they had. Awkward tophat and dive loop/lazy loop combo are going to be epic as hell.

The only elements I see actively avoiding the skyride are the dive and fat loop thing. The rest of the ride is far enough from the skyride that they could do other things.

Eh it goes too slowly through it to make it epic and it's certainly nothing special at the end of the day either.

At the end of the day, Monster is still a great ride and addition to Adventureland, but Junker beats this out any day in my book.

Looks like a good ride to me, perhaps a lack of flow in sections (I agree with Paradox on the first element after the drop) but overall has some good combinations and cool elements. I also prefer Junker's layout from only looking at them both!

I also like slow-paced inversions that make me say "Wow stalling, stalling!" not only the fast and smooth ones! :)

Damn. That is by far the most complex and marvelous lighting package on any roller coaster to date, in my opinion. This is definitely a star coaster in all aspects.
X2 ??? Intimidator 305 ??? Millennium Force ??? Iron Rattler ??? El Toro ??? Fury 325 ??? Maverick ??? Skyrush ??? Twisted Timbers ??? Voyage

So it's a tracer rainbow and then "random" when a train isn't running the circuit?

Sad news. :(
Adventureland employee dies of injuries sustained at park

The Adventureland employee who was injured June 7 while working the Raging River ride has died.

Gregg Lagan, spokesperson for Mercy Medical Centers, confirmed that Steve Booher passed away Saturday night from injuries sustained at the park.

Adventureland officials told the Register on June 10 that the employee slipped and fell while assisting with the ride.

"As the rafts advanced forward on the ride, he slipped and fell," Molly Vincent, spokeswoman for the Altoona theme park, previously said.

Vincent said security staff responded immediately and contacted paramedics, who transported Booher to a hospital.

The Raging River takes riders down a splash-filled waterway in a large raft.
On its website, the park classifies it among its family rides, calling it "a great way to cool off with the whole family."

Story from The Des Moines Register.
