The advertisement is on the rider safety guide sign before you enter. Also, where is this interview? I've not seen nor heard of it.

It was one of the Vimeo documentaries Dollywood produced. This video https://vimeo.com/album/3793474/video/158391903 at the 0:50 mark.

I doubt they're claiming a 4 G launch. That's preposterous; space shuttle launches are like 3 Gs. The ride obviously will reach 4 positive vertical Gs at some points. Good to hear the rave reviews thus far.

^ Nearly 2 negative g's on the "iconic" quad down, I assume! Looks more intense to me than Megalite on the rodeo-like hills!

So we're on park now & Lightning Rod isn't test running at all today or tomorrow, apparently due to flooding.

Guest services are saying mid-week at the earliest before it starts testing again. Boooooo!

Sorry :( . I'd be frustrated if that happened to me.

I see trims in this ride's future.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

No let natural selection take its course.

The guy can't hold the camera worth a damn, which I think is a good sign.

Let me say what a spectacular "non-breathtaking" lift hill, view, plunge, and mountain coaster! Perfection of a mountain coaster I assume! I freakin' love it when the ride does hit the last airtime part where you may feel like ski-jumping off! I fully wish to ride it, already! What a mind-blowing invention RMC made for every coaster fan!

Now this is like IMO, Wooden Fury 325! Thanks for the amazement! :) + :D + :o + 8-)

I do wish RMC would get over this banked airtime hill fetish.

I absolutely love the lift and drop, and the quad-down and final turn both also look incredible.
I'm not really a fan of everything between those things, though. Could have more awesome airtime hills...

This is one of the flaws I find with RMC designs. Instead of putting normal air hills or something else they just spam overbanks everywhere, but hey people like it I guess.

The ride does seem quite short, but it definitely looks relentless throughout it's course.

I do agree, they love short pops of air too, instead of long El Toro style hills.

Still looks incredible.

I think it's some kind of trademark they try to put into each of their designs. Same for the 90?? banked turn(s) on pretty much all the Gravity Group woodies.

Keep in mind that the ride doesn't even reach the end of the magnetic brake run at the end; this looks like one of the ride's slower runs!

Here's a comparison -- the ride enters the brakes about half a second sooner on the un-mounted video posted earlier.

Yeah the offride videos loaded with riders show the train hauling into the finale faster than that. Still great to have a mounted POV. I'm a huge fan of Upstop Media's work.
