andy, I have all my g's in the preferred zones (i.e. they're not red) and my intensity is STILL 10.51. Maybe the thing's too long?? I dunno....
G-forces start to affect intensity levels long before they turn red. I lowered my lateral G's from about 2.47 to 2.18 (or something like that), and my intensity dropped from 9.68 to 9.36. This was very effective, even though the "red" value is somewhere between 2.8 and 3.0 I think. Play around with different inversion heights and trim brakes and see how they affect the stats. Especially look at corkscrew pieces for lat. G's and hills for neg. G's. Make sure your coaster isn't blasting through any inversions, but try not to make it creep through them either.
As far as I can tell, the two main contributors to intensity levels are inversion count and G-forces. Since our inversion count is fixed, the best way to make this coaster rideable is to get ideal G's = vert. close to 4, neg. close to -1, and lat. close to 2. Check your graphs on the ride to find problem areas.
Length and certain types of themeing can also raise intensity, but these are small factors for a B&M twister. For woodies and vekomas, I think length can play a big part in intensity levels.
I made a bit of progress last night, nailing down a third theme that will include the 11-invert and building a nice corkscrew coaster. I'm really enjoying this park, great job setting it up, bardy.
