That's really excellent news. I assume this means RMC has handed off the ride to the park and everything should be in working order. The summer season is now definitely in full swing and it's good that they didn't have a delay that lasted into the peak June / July / August crowds. I love watching it tear through the finale in those offrides.

I've been reading on Facebook/Twitter that it has been down most of the day so far. I'm a bit worried that Lightning Rod might end up being another Top Thrill Dragster (amazing ride but closed half of the time).
to be fair, I see no actual flames, and crew on hand. IF there was a fire, it was likely contained to the point that LR should re-open in the next month or so. If not, I see no difference between that, and heavy welding smoke (I've actually seen thicker.....the kid welding didn't exactly know what he was doing and long story short we had to evac the autoshop lol) which whether intended or not, shouldn't cause too much of a delay......hopefully.

Dollywood website says Lightning Rod is back in technical ride rehearsal.
Lightning Rod has reopened in technical ride rehearsal after the Rocky Mountain Construction recall on June 17. The ride may be subject to temporary closure or delays from time to time.
