I don't think the smoke was dark enough, that must be what they are rehearsing.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Hearing that LR was closed today and probably won't reopen tomorrow either.

This has to be a huge PR nightmare for Dollywood. The fact that I got to ride it back in May is almost a miracle.

That sucks. I am hoping that it opens by August so we could ride it when we're on the roadtrip. That's like the highlight of the roadtrip for me :\

Same, but I'll be really smug if it isn't.

May have said this before, but I feel like a lot of enthusiasts are giving this whole delay a free pass just because the coaster is at Dollywood. If this were at a Six Flags park, everyone would be ripping them to shreds.

It's RMC's fault, as it would be if it were at a Six Flags park. The reason people give Six Flags a hard time is they have the decision as to which rides are "improved" by RMC (Cyclone was one of my favorites, and Colossus made no damn sense). What is it you want people to complain about at Dollywood? Country music? Their decision to hire RMC?

"We just happen to be closed right now as they're working on some things," he said. "But we're hopeful that the ride will open again this season, have an opportunity for more families to ride it."

So now they're just hoping it will open before the end of the season. Hate to say it, but this is getting laughable.

Cyclone and Colossus were complete, total, utter pieces of sh!t and I can't imagine Six Flags making a better decision than when they went with working with RMC.

I feel so terrible for both parties involved, both RMC and Dollywood. I seriously wish them good fortune and success in the next few weeks and/or months. I'll drink one for Alan and his mates.
