P??gase Express - Gerstlauer Family Launch Parc Ast??rix 2017

So if you remember, a couple months ago Parc Ast??rix published this photo in a survey for different coasters in 2017 and this design won. It will be a Gerstlauer Family Launch coaster like Firechaser Express at Dollywood and will have a Roman theme. Ground work has started in preparation for construction as the park likes to take time with theming as well.

FireChaser is a really good family coaster, so I'm sure this coaster will be a great addition to Parc Asterix.

Yeah they're really investing in some good attractions - installed a Disk-o with fake watersplash this year too!

One of the European parks that I'd love to visit! This one is, I think, going to be epic along with "Le Vol d'Icare"! Can't wait for their further developments!

I do have to say the park was very nice when I visited yesterday; I did notice this land clearing too. Glad to see what will take it's place next year! Looks good.

I love how much longer the backwards section looks to be. It seems like there will be a reverse splashdown as well since there's straight track over the water.

Also Vol D'Icare, the park's Zierer Hornet has all of it's track removed and will be retracked for 2017 which should be great since it was a little rough when I rode it in 2012 but still loads of fun.

That turn in the first photo has some odd shaping. There appears to be a slight double up (or down) on it.
