Something is happening with Hurler, but whether it is getting an overhaul or being demolished for something new I'm not sure. The park's website certainly makes it sound like the ride will be returning in some form next year, but given that reportedly no work has been done so far I'm not sure that's still the plan. A lot of people are speculating RMC conversion, but I'm thinking Hurler may be removed and a new B&M (probably a Wing Coaster) will be added back here. I guess we'll find out on the 20th, and given that it's a Saturday when the park is open I'm expecting whatever is coming is going to be big.
Coaster Count: 535 (114 wood, 444 steel); Park Count: 110 Top 5 Wood: El Toro, Voyage, Thunderhead, Outlaw Run, Boulder Dash Top 5 Steel: Superman the Ride, Fury 325, Millennium Force, X2, Intimidator 305
As insane a thought as my home park could get an RMC is, I'm really trying not to hype it up to that, only to be let down in the end. But really, RMC Hurler makes the most sense. Closed wooden coaster + hints of "red" and "what replaces it" + ruling out GCI being behind the project... BWAA IDK. Only a week till we know!
I'm betting that the green track from the B&M plant will be going to Kings Dominion. The only other Cedar Fair parks that haven't announced yet are Canada's Wonderland and Michigan's Adventure. CW hasn't done much of any teasing lately, and MiA is too small to support a B&M-sized investment.
