Energylandia just posted this on Facebook. They have 2 proposals for a new mega coaster for 2018 from both Vekoma and Intamin and are currently deciding which one to choose. Apparently the public will have an opinion on which ride to choose, but I hope it's the Vekoma!

Intamin layout:

They both look incredible, I'd love to see a vekoma hyper though.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Even though the Intamin has a few awesome parts in their layout. The Vekoma looks in overall a lot more fun. I really hope the final decision will fall on that. :)

I love both those designs, I really can't decide. Interesting to see how different companies go about designing the same idea.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

They did an awesome thing with asking people what they want but I don't know which one I prefer...

I think I'd vote for the Vekoma too only because I think they're way too underrated and don't get the credit they deserve. Their newer rides look pretty good!

Intamin layout looks better to me.

I'd also question Vekoma's ability to build a large ride of this nature. Their largest full circuit rides are only ~160ft tall... and not especially smooth.

Here's a post that details all of the rides that are new for 2017 at Energylandia. They are adding a whopping 17 new attractions including a new restaurant and 3 new coasters.

Some of the highlights are:

1. An Intamin water coaster similar to Divertical, but bigger. According to RCDB it will be almost 200 feet tall and 68 mph.
2. A Vekoma family boomerang with the same layout as Fireball at Furuvik
3. A powered family coaster

Remember this park when people claim major parks like cedar point can't add two coasters in a row. SEriously need to set to this park now.

I swear this park is a front for like a meth operation or something. Where is the cash coming from?

Late to say, but I pretty much have a crush on that out-and-back Intamin! :D

Sounds like you should travel to some of their newer coasters. Vekoma's mostly populair lately with their thrilling family designs, but the roughness everyone knows from the typical boomerang/SLC is far gone on their new (custom) models. Would be awesome to see some more bigger rides being built by them. I guess the sales threshold of having customers travel all the way to Singapore was a little to big.

Vekoma ride looks pretty fun - would be interesting to see them create something bigger, might just open the market up!

As much as I'd love to see Vekoma coming more into the scene again, especially with how good some of their recent tracks have been; I'm sorry but that Intamin is incredible. The last half of the Vekoma looks actually quite poor to me. Definitely voting for the Intamin.

What's still odd to me is that incident they had with one of their contractors on that Battlestar Galactica ride. Was that ever resolved?

That Intamin coaster could change the world... I still don't think I could trust Vekoma with anything more than a Disney family coaster... Plus, the Intamin just looks better (if not the best ever)

The Intamin looks better IMO. Absolute insanity. But out of sheer curiosity I'd like to see the Vekoma come to life.

Vekoma doesn't make rough rides anymore. Just look at the launch coaster they made for this park.

Perhaps, I still trust Intamin would make the better coaster.

I want Vekoma to win so they have experience with this kind of ride. The end half looks very poor unfortunately but it may be a good learning experience for them.

Not sure the forces on the turns and air hills will be as crazy on the Vekoma, but cannot tell from video of course
. Intamin always seems to push the limits more than other companies when it comes to their forces, this could be one hell of an Intamin. Gets my vote.
