First of all I would like to thank robada for reviewing the rating for my Gemini recreation. I appreciate the time and effort put into each review and try to use the constructive comments the next time I build a coaster. I would also like to thank pacoasterrider for standing up for my design. I am glad this was resolved and consider the case closed.

Now onto ratings...I know that many of us feel very strongly about the coasters we design and when we upload them for others to see we may expect them to see it the same way. In reality just like real coasters everyone has their favorites (coasters, elements, styles, ect..) and we have to take these comments with that in mind. I try to rate coaster on the feel of the ride as well as design skills where others use hard stats. No matter which way you review a coaster you must give details for the rating so that the builder can understand where you are coming from. I have had both good and bad comments on my creations and I know that I have become a better coaster designer because of them.

What are your thoughts...

I agree on what you said. Basically what you might think is a great top of the world design, might be considered as, in light terms, crap to others. We will see good and bad ratings on all coasters. I even look back on some of my designs and think some of the being good and stuff but then I se eother people's comments and see how they would improve it. Don't take other poeople's "bad" comments on the negative, rather take them as how other people view them and improve upon that. If you are here to get good ratings, then build what the people want, if you (not referring to bockzilla but everyone in general) think your ride is excellent to you and want everyone to think so, then I wouldn't suggest uploading as there are different tastes to different people.
Those are my thoughts [:D]

I only want to say one thing on this topic and that is if your going to give a low rate explain exactly why you are giving it. write at least a paragraph or more not just one line. When writing a review try and cover layout, pacing, theming (and smoothness for NL users [:p] ) If you mention these three things your sure to write more than 2 lines.

and dont take off points because you dont like a certain type of ride, or if the ride doesnt fit the steriotype of the ride... like, dont take off points if a floorless coaster is not something b&m would build, or dont take off points if your corkscrew isnt something arrow would build. i hate it when people do that, instead of taking off points for escaping the steriotype ride, they should add points for creativity. unless of course the ride is a piece of crap that no one would build unless its intended for cruel and unusual punishment ;)

I disagree, unless the coaster is a fantasy. If somebody is going to make a realistic track they should make it the true style of the coaster.

When I think of "fantasy" coaster, I think of something that is impossible in reality or just really outrageous as far as height, speed, etc.

I agree with what coaster992001 said.
