A small (but HUGE to me) update, the Kickstarter is now 40% funded! There was a big spike in donations yesterday, and I'm beginning to really think this is going to happen!

CoasterCrazy has been the fourth largest contributor to donations, and I can't thank you guys enough for it!

I can almost hear it now, "You are the passengers on a most uncommon railway, about to take the strangest journey of your lives..."

With the campaign being already 40% funded, I've added a new reward tier to the Kickstarter! For $15, your portrait will be featured somewhere within the ride. Using a portrait of yourself, you'll be transformed into a 30's character and inserted straight into the attraction in the form of an ad, a photo, or numerous other possibilities. Interested in that, or any other selection of the reward tiers? Check it out using the link below!

As always, any and all support is more than appreciated! With all of your support so far, I'm sure that together we can make this happen!

You guys are long overdue for an update on Terror Tracks that ISN'T a Kickstarter ad, so here's a VERY early shot of the exterior.

The ride building and the first part of the queue will be a normal, functioning, elegant train station, but then the queue will veer off into the abandoned subway that hasn't been used since the crash. As you can see, I've taken design cues from California's Tower of Terror, as well as Cincinnati's Union Terminal.

What do you think?

WE DID IT YOU GUYS! Thanks to everyone in this whole community, we raised the money to get MARK SILVERMAN, the SAME voice actor that Disney themselves used for Tower of Terror, to voice TERROR TRACKS!!

I'll write a longer post later, but I need to take a minute and try not to have a heart attack. I didn't think there was any chance of this happening.

I've started working on the "lobby". This will be the first room of the queue, the main train station. The stairs at the top right will take you down to the subway platform. Obviously there's a TON of detail that still needs to be added, but I wanted to give you guys an update.

That's a joke right? What complaint could they have possibly given?

They should only be allowed to complain about the coaster being built too far away from them.

Work on the exterior has begun, drawing lots of inspiration from Florida's Tower of Terror:

it looks REALLY good. I've always been a huge supporter of lighting because it can really add a "feel" to an environment. That is exactly what this does :)

@Turbo, more lighting has been added below :D

Update

It's that time of the day again, update time! This update will be fairly short in terms of words, because I'm about to head out to have dinner with my family.

You can see below that the exterior is just about finished, taking lots of inspiration from both Disney's California Adventure (duh), Disney's Hollywood Studios. I've taken elements prominent in Buena Vista Street and taken them into consideration here. For instance, here's a bridge similar to the one that the monorail uses to travel over DCA's Buena Vista Street.

Image

A gift shop type building, filled to the brim with souvenirs.

Image

Here's the view down from the ride's entrance plaza (where you enter the building, that is).

Image

And lastly, the current "money shot".

Image

You'll notice that the area is pretty tight, but there's only so far I can take this project. Given that I would like to finish up pretty soon, I wanted to find ways to close off the area while still maintaining the illusion of a park atmosphere. Nothing you see here is final, but I'm definitely getting close to wrapping up the scenery. After that, all that's left is the on-board audio track, and the final video!

The final video is already being filmed, as the exterior is 100% done. All the work that I'm currently doing is primarily for the POV.

Words cannot describe just how ready I am to show this project to everybody. It feels like it's taken me years to complete, but I've actually completed this project in a shorter time period than both Destroid and X:Reborn. It's been a long road, but finally, there appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

I have a much longer message for you guys, but I'll save that for the release.

In the meantime, it brings me lots of happiness to say that I'll see you all in exactly one week (December 21st, 2016) for the video release of The Twilight Zone: Terror Tracks!
