Why do you think is the vertical tower on Dodonpa, awfully designed, compared to that of Hypersonic XLC which looks smoothed out? People seem to say that's kind of rough.

Do you have any thoughts? :)

Y'know, I think Dodonpa's top hat looks like something straight out of RCT3.

That's a joke right? What complaint could they have possibly given?

They should only be allowed to complain about the coaster being built too far away from them.

Just off the top I would venture a guess that it's because of where the top hat (Hypersonic XLC, first commercial non inverting top hat?) occurs on the circuit. On Nega Sonic teenage launch coaster, the top hat is right after the launch, giving the most control over variables in forces and such, with Dodonpa, the hill is much later in the course, which means the margin of forces it has to safely compensate for needs to be larger and therefore, the hill is broader, and less vertical.

That's just my theory

If by "awfully designed" you mean "awesome and full of ejector" then sure.

What's wrong with the tower on Dondonpa? It's always looked great in every POV.

It carries so much speed over it it's insane.

The tower on Hypersonic was pretty heavily trimmed, so the train just barely cleared.

@Turbo: Oh yeah "bouncy" that might be a good coaster-related adjective which I was looking for. You made a better explanation, thanks!
