hello just wanted to show a new design im working on, its a compact T-Rex track designed to fit in a space 150ft wide X 400ft long. Its max height is 150ft tall.

This is a part of a larger project that im going to be working on which will show how it can fit into a real-life park that has limited space for a new coaster. This park that this is being designed around has a very strict height limit which this coaster fits.

i will be updating this as i progress through the project. Please tell me what you think so far.

How is this compact? 150/400/150ft is quite large imo.
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)

compared to the existing plans for the T-Rex track system, this one takes up about half the space.

My question is... I wonder if T-Rex tracks usually can have brakes on a curved part, because those are different from typical ones.

^ The track size aside, your layout does look fun! :D

Those brakes were only there for the video, they wont exist in the final product.

That's actually very small. Probably average euro fighter sized. Not quite gale force or iron shark compact though.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

I think you misunderstood lol240 - he was wondering if they did actually have brakes that could be used on curves.

You might already know this lol240 but skid brakes were commonly used on older wooden coasters and could brake on turns.

First impressions were that it felt a little sluggish. The prelift didn't really do anything for me and it didn't seem to keep pace. The rest of the layout looks intricate and fun though. Be careful of overusing "no lateral g's" too as its messing with some of your shaping (the outward banked airtime hill for instance)

^^ Thanks for the clarification! I was forgetting really good examples of skid brakes on most liked woodies! Phoenix at Knoebel is exactly one of them!

That link helped me know more technical details! :D

Your description also reminds me of this topic on ParkVault.Net: https://parkvault.net/2014/08/27/wooden-coasters-braking-systems/
