Family drop ride or another Family coaster? Exciting either way, I'm sure they will make it fun for everyone - Dollywood rocks.

It's obviously an RMC launched coaster named Lightning Rod. It's been confirmed to be opening in 2017 since last year lol.

Drop slides? There has been a rumor going around that Cedar Fair, Six Flags, dollywood, and a couple other companies looking to buy 200 acres of land down in Florida................

RMC drop tower themed to a Dodge Neon. When the brakes ignite it'll be more realistic.

New in 2017 at Dollywood

In 2017 Dollywood will offer even more fun for families at our Smoky Mountain destination. With three new attractions and two new special events everyone in the family is sure to find something that makes their day memorable in 2017.

Drop Line at Dollywood
New in Summer 2017, Drop Line is a 200-foot tall free-fall experience that towers over Timber Canyon and provides an incredible view of the park before its exhilarating finish. The drop tower ride lifts Dollywood guests nearly 20 stories above the Canyon???s pool, before plummeting them back to the ground in a thrilling rush.

Whistle Punk Chaser at Dollywood
Whistle Punk Chaser, a new junior coaster opening in Summer 2017, throws thrilling twists and turns at Dollywood???s younger loggers, helping prepare them for the day they can join their parents aboard the award-winning Thunderhead wooden coaster.

TailSpin Racer at Dollywood's Splash Country
In 2017 experience the wet and wild twists, turns and thrills of Dollywood???s Splash Country???s newest attraction, TailSpin Racer! From its unique spiraling, high-speed AquaTubes to its splashdown finish, it???s an all-out race to see who can get to the end first.

New Special Events at Dollywood
Two new events will join our family festivals in 2017. Just in time for families enjoying spring break, the park will introduce enra, a Tokyo-based dance company which was featured on America???s Got Talent in 2015. The group wowed audiences with their high-energy multi-media dance, light and video fusion show.

Also, for the first time ever Dollywood will be opening during the evening in October to welcome the spectacular GREAT Pumpkin LumiNights event alongside the Southern Gospel Jubilee to our Harvest Festival. This nighttime event immerses families in fabulous fall pumpkin illumination.

Can't wait for Drop Line and Whistle Punk Chaser! They'll be exciting rides! The big thrill versus the kiddie that could be a dark horse!

:D Hope so! :D

I have a feeling that if Timber Tower was in Timber Canyon, they could be placing it there. Looks like their "lay low" year, time to start speculating for 2018
I'm not brand new to NL2 so ignore how many posts I have atm, I post a lot other places :)

^We don't know who, or what, at this point. All we know is "junior coaster".

A mat racer, a drop tower, and a junior coaster? Sounds like an excellent year for Dollywood. If they weren't before, this is now definitely the park at the top of my re-visit list (haven't been since 2010).

Yes Dollywood really is going to be one of, if not the best, parks in the US by the end of their heavy spending spree they have going here :):))))

A drop tower is always awesome. Especially a 200ft one. The kiddy coaster sounds like a similar one as in SDC. Nothing special but hey, at least another coaster. :)
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)

The drop tower will be similar to this, just smaller.

Maybe the kiddie ride will have more air than the GCI

I actually found Thunderhead to be good. It was weird as I wasn't expecting much out of it.
